I was working for an agent named Zoe, giving my lvl 1 combat missions, and after a dozen or two dozen, they seemed to be repeating. Does that happen? At some point does the agent say "you're done" and send you to another agent? Or do you just leave an agent when you get bored?

Sometimes an agent will run out of missions to give you, but waiting a little while and bugging him a bit will open him up again. If you want to go onto another agent you just need to stop doing missions for the present one, find another and start missioning again.

Your agent will never run out of missions for you. They do sometimes repeat, yeah. Even if you go to another agent the offers will come from the same "pool" of missions they can draw from (assuming same level of agent). I think they do alter to some extent as you do different level agents though.

Sometimes when using a higher level agent you actually get the same mission again, though of course it is a more difficult version.
When I first started Lv2 missions I got the same two again and again the first ten or so times

I've had missions repeat numorus times, sometimes with different rewards...just keep at them they may be boring but you want some of the missions repeating at lvl 4 like gust extravigansa (sorry for bad spelling) because theres a boot load of isk were talking about millions here.

I have been running lvl2's for a couple of weeks and my agent had about 12 missions which repeat over and over. It's boring but I'm gaining standing and a bit of isk and LP even though I know I can ace the missions every time without even trying.
I won't go to lvl3 yet, my gunnery skills are fairly good but my supporting skills nearly lost me my ship last time I tried

out of intret how do you get level 2 adgents do you just approach them when you think you have enough skills etc ?

Look up the info on the corporation you are working for (eg caldari navy) and go down to available agents, if you have high enougbh standings you can chat with lvl 2 agents just like all the others.

Once you have done lots of missions for an agent, at some point do they say "I'm all out of missions" or do they start to recycle old missions and never run out?

You will never run out of missions to do, no. You will get many missions identical or near identical to ones you have done before though.
