ever since those new servers were installed, and the copious downtime that it brought with it, eve has not been the same. ive been getting large ammounts of lag, with all forms of movement beening jerky, and any form of fighting ending up basically freezing :( i want to know if its just me, or is everyone else getting this? i even re-installed eve last night, no change at all:(
someone plz help!!!

Yep, happened to me too, and before everyone says move out of a 1.0/move to a quieter system/etc, it also happened when i clone jumped and lost a cov ops in 0.0 with only myself and 2 others in system at a gate when i decloaked as i was about to jump then got stuck decloaked without jumping for over 1 minute and lost the ship :-(

I agree, im getting more lag of every sort from market to escrow, to trying to fight, I live in 0.0 and its even worse there, if you have more than 20 ships in the system, you can wait for up to 2 mins to be able to jump through the gates so fighting is impossible. This is a very bad situation, and im starting to get well fed up of it never being fixed properly. Life is Short, Space is Big, So the Moral of the Story is:
Go as Fast as you Bloody Can ;)

Edited by: Dworf on 16/05/2006 18:52:35 I and one of my friends had WAYYY to many issues with LAG and nothing was wrong with my or his connection no packets lost or anything... LAG started just after about playing the game for about 3h... then the LAG went to worse! i tried cleaning the cache but it was the same... what helped us both is to quit, reboot the computer and it worked without a LAG spike for 3h straight then LAG starts again more and more minute after minute! then i exited again, reboot look it works again... and it does not help if i only exit EVE i have to reboot!
try that... and hope it helps..

I have the exact same problem, except that the lag happens after about an hour of play. Sometimes I can play longer, but the lag gets increasingly worse over time. Only a full reboot fixes the issue. I was thinking it may be some sort of memory leak, but memory and page file usage stays the same. Using Ping Plotter I was noticing very high ping times on my LAN interface during this lag. Sometimes as high as 200ms. All my drivers are up to date.
I am using an NForce 4 chipset and an AMD Dual Core system. I wonder if the hardware setup is the same for other people experiencing this problem.

Ever since last weeks hardware upgrade, i get slightly more lag to everything. Escrow and Market loadtime is higher. Undocking/jumping takes longer too.
Wonder if this is just some early tuning in issues, or if the new hardware is operating at 100% already?

Edited by: Dyson Slicin on 23/05/2006 16:39:23 While running the lvl 4 Silence the Informant mission I got swarmed by all the stage 2 ships at once. I was already aligned but the lag kept my ship stuck in the warp sequence. Like others who posted here I got pounded for over a minute by a whole lot of ships
While I was very lucky and finally warped out just before my ship exploded, I wonder if CCP assists those who petition in this situation.

Please note that due to the patch there is a lot of strain on the server right now with people patching and logging in

I'm still experiencing the same type of lag problems. Happens most often when my ship is getting pounded. Sometimes I'll lag for what seems like a full minute, then watch a "fast-forward" as many combat messages display very quickly. How long should we expect the strain on the servers to last?
Thanks.
