I have several concepts I would like to see implemented. These derive both from more recent experiences and from those things I loved most about when I first started the game.
I want drones to come back into the light of day, instead of being the backup weapon you use on ships just to make sure you can damage the little ones, or something you cram into your bay for giant fleet battles, cause why not, lets make someone who trained drones to high levels cool again (something I enjoyed basking in when the game transitioned from beta to live). Now I know there was some attempt to make this a reality in the form of the EW drones and the logistic drones, and not being a pvper I have not seen how they fair in that environment, so this is from a pve perspective. Drone Modifications: I. Tractor Drones - These would essentially be drones with tractor beams, this would allow those people who dont have the high slots for a tractor beam, or have drone space they are not using to have a interesting utility for drones, and the idea of a drone going out, latching onto a container and bringing it back has always just struck me as really cool for some reason.
II. Drone Miner Ships - One of the things about release that I really liked was how much more a miner using drones could pull in compared to one that didnt use drones. Now given the specialization created by things such as the hulk in direct mining, i could see where giving something like that super mining drones would be problematic. Instead what about ships designed to use new (or augment old) drones to the point where they were highly effective again, say higher per minute yield then a strip miner, but averaging out even or perhaps even a little lower given travel time of the drones. Also you risk having them destroyed as they need to return before you can warp out. Drone mining was always just so fun to me and I would like to see it back in the game as something significant.
III. Sentry Drone Expansion - Sentry drones were a great concept but they really didnt go as far as they could have. They appear to be a way for something like the Domi and the drone based BC's to become viable again, but given that they can only hit very large targets, cant move, and all the other drawbacks to them, they didnt really succeed, at least to their potential. The first modification would be (mostly) cosmetic, instead of just having the one damage type of each drone, turn it into a full fledged weapon system, these are large bulky non mobile drones why not turn them into mini turrets. Now the ultimate would be having fitting slots and being able to stick what ever you wanted onto them, but thats probably not practical. Instead what about having the Caldari drones be missle pods, the amar drones use lasers, the minmatar use projectile and the gallente use hybrid. This would add alot more flavor (and alot more options) to the use of sentry drones allowing you to fit for different circumstances. The second change I propose to sentry drones is either beef them up or allowing the player to fit his ship so the drones can be tanked, say a drone version of remote shield rep and armor rep that would allow the player to target them and keep them alive under fire, some way of making them a viable weapon system that doesnt explode when the next spawn happens.
IV. Mining Fighters - Pretty self explanatory, fighter drone sized mining drones, with scaled up yield, given the value of a carrier I dont think this would be overpowered.
Ship Modules: I. Gravity Generator - The gravity generator is a high slot module that roots the ship in place and causes anything that could be moved by a tractor beam to be drawn towards the the ship, it also could slow any ships within its range, or other various effects. Essentially a cool implementation of tractor beams, something a little more exotic and out there. Make it a gang support type module, something that requires a rorqual, or an orca to use.
II. Accretion Amplifier - A ship or starbase module that increases the regeneration rate of low grade asteroids, basically veldspar, and scordite, etc repop faster as the ship does something funky with the laws of space and makes the particles in the area clump together, maybe gravity shockwaves or something like that.
III. Asteroid Tractor Beams - This one is off the wall but I have always liked the idea of being able to move asteroids, have helper ships that could drag them to the miners for processing.
IV. Holographic Projector - This module is one I have been thinking about for a long time. What it does is when turned on it alters the signature of your ship making you look like another type of ship to the enemy. Specifically it could only make smaller ships look bigger (no fair making that carrier look like a shuttle). Perhaps even an entire ship type dedicated to this. They are frigate sized, and around cruiser cost to build, but can look like battleships, battle-cruisers, cruisers, etc, a way to inflate your apparent ship compliment.
Well thats it for now, I have alot more of course but that should cover the basics |

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, MAKE BOOKMARK PINS STAY SOLID WHITE INSTEAD OF FADING WHEN SCANNING. THE FADING MAKES IT INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE THE POSITION OF ALREADY BOOKMARKED SIGS.
So please, change whichever 1 or 0 you need to change to make this happen.

Silly stuff that just makes you ask, WTF?
- Officer tags with no worth. No concord bounty was ever added for them, they never made it in to an LP store. Seemed wierd that Officer kills weren't brought up to date with standard kill tags.
- Bottlenecks in the T2 rigs manufacturing. You can make a shopping list of everything needed down to the blueprint, spend 5 mill and then spend 50 on one part. I never figured out if that was deliberate or oversight. T1 manufacturing doesn't by design create gluts like that, I often wondered why T2 did.
Again, not game breaking just game baffling. |

0.5.) fix bottleneck products from moon mining and T2 manufacture. (the ones that cause the ludicrous prices)
1. Make SiSi installer and eve autoupdater ask the player into what directory it can download the patch. The patches/clients are too large for windows temp directories on older computers. I woke up to this problem when I let sisi installer try to dl crucible and woke up to my C: drive having 2 MB of room.
2. Make missiles launch from missile launchers instead of center of the ship.
3. Make player bounties work somehow. Being able to suicide yourself and get the bounty is stupid.
4. Finish what you started with gallente
5. Improve corp window interface to be more intuitive, in regards of a.) corp shares b.) corp roles. Corp shares dont work the way they may have been intended. They are not used for corp decisionmaking, instead they are a security risk, and overall hindrance. The corp window should be such that a newbie CEO knows what he is doing instead of opening himself for corp thefts etc. If possible, add more informative messages or tutorials for it.
6. Tone down highsec incursions.
7. Improve your forum software. A.) get rid of all the stupid glitches and ganking, b.) allow "?" to be part of the links (which leads to "there was problem parsing this posts bbcode"), c.) allow embedding of images, although not as part of the signatures.
Ill be back for more..

Being able to name the POS Moduals would be really handy
quite often when you have several corp hangers in you POS you end up forgetting which one is which.
with the alliance structure system on the tab if you are out of corp you will never know what is in that pos incase it was the wrong one I agree with several people: CCP needs to focus most of eve's recources on FIS, but the development of WIS still needs to continue, just as a slower and more efficient pace. In eve I wish to be more than just a machine. |

I would like to see personal wallet divisions introduced into the game.
I think it would be very useful for players to control there money and where it goes. It would also nice to have the the ability to choose which division certain incomes go to. For example, lets say you have 5 divisions and you are a trader, you can call division one 'Market Income' and make it so all income from the market goes to that division. Then you may have another division set up for all NPC bounties to go to.
In my opinion is would make players be able to manage there money better and have a better idea what money they are making and where It's coming from.
Please let me know what you all think.

i'm currently moving a hauler for a long way, on systems with lots of people on the overview and... i tried something that did not exist... but could be useful.
i wanted to right click on the next system on the way on the waypoints list, and have "warp/jump to stargate" on the list.
cause on my overview i don't see the stargate, given there's dozen of ships on my grid. (source i can use an overview without ships, but that can be very dangerous if you forgot you changed overview)
how about adding this option ?
on your waypoint list, you right clic on the next system and you have the option to warp to the next stargate, without having to search it. here in fact i used righ clic on space -> stargate - > the one i needed, given it was easier that search on the overview, but this new option would be pretty nice
2 questions however : * does it make moving too easy ? given they add the autopilot on station, and the jump to gate, i don't think they would feel this way * would it be hard to code ? i dunno, but making the game search for a stargate with the same name as the system you right clic don't seems very hard to do... but that's in theory
(edit ; in fact this option work for stations on the new waypoint system, so the code must be easy to add for the stargate) |

TBQH, the redo of the jump button was awesome, however the approach to loot button is kind of annoying since it lights up before you're in range and it can mess up alignments. Could it maybe be optional? Also, very seconding the wallet division for people. It'd allow people to budget their isk etc (yay making eve more work-like!) |

Please make all kills show up on all parties involved combat log. You don't have to duplicate the kill mail for everyone, just put in a pointer to the loss mail of the victim instead of copying the full text to each player's combat log. You will save space by storing only 1 copy of the KM then inserting one integer per person, referencing the loss mail ID instead of storing both a kill mail and loss mail (if that's how it's done)...and more importantly, no more problems with being denied a KM if the ship self destructs (put in a loss mail for the self destruct, final blow to the destructee), and no more "Who got the god damned kill mail you *******!!!! Check your damn combat log nao n00bs!!!" on comms anymore. http://youtu.be/yytbDZrw1jc |

Don't know if this has already been brought up or not but.....
It would be nice to divide weapon groups into ammo groups.
If I fit 7 250mm Arty's on my Thrasher, why should I be restricted to using the same ammo type in each turret if I group the weapons?
Maybe I want to have 2 turrets loaded with EMP S, 2 turrets loaded with Fusion S and the other 3 loaded with Titanium Sabot S.
I think this is a little request and I would love to see it implemented. |

also crucible added medium shaders, can we please have medium option on incarna also ? my old computer have twice more fps on low interior shader setting on CQ, and medium option would be pretty useful for people like me ; on high it's nice but not enough fluid on old computer to be useful, on low it's playable but horrible... and given the nice part is the only use of CQ currently :P |

One thing that annoys me daily is the placement of cosmic signatures with respect to wormholes.
Or, more specifically, what annoys me is their placement combined with them being player-interactible. Their placement isn't really an issue, what's an issue is they're distant from the wormhole in a random location, and interact with player actions such as anchoring or cloaked ships. There's pretty much no way to know their location normally, right up until they decloak a ship or obstruct the anchoring of a warp bubble. Even then, you don't know where it is, unless you accidentally selected it (you can target it, even), so you can't even be certain what direction to move in to avoid it.
It seems like an object that's basically part of the hidden machinations of the game mechanics shouldn't be all up in the players' faces breaking immersion and causing danger or hassle that quite often feels like the game being randomly broken in their disfavor.
It's fun to end up in a dangerous or more challenging situation by means of predictable game mechanics. That's fair play and it's exciting. It is not fun to end up there because it feels something in the game mechanics has arbitrarily malfunctioned and you got the short straw. If they were ignored for the purposes of decloaking and anchoring, they'd be fixed.
Please note that I'm all for there just being unlucky circumstances that complicate engagements at wormholes, I prey on such circumstances. It just should be made to feel more fair and sane than "oops you collided with a secret hidden prop".
This is, as the title says, a little thing... but it's so persistent and niggling that it's like a little itchy thorn. |

This small suggestion got alot of backing in my thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=37972
Capitals will self destruct against small sub cap gangs to stop them getting a killmail, this makes taking down capitals in small subcap gangs less rewarding, encouraging the supercap frenzy.
Quote:So after all that effort, we get no proof of our kill, I mean, when he wakes up in the morning, he still has no thanatos...Without us there shooting it, it would still exist. So, CCP, do you not think that either one of these alternatives should be put in place a) A ship cannot self-destruct whilst in combat b) If they self destruct, the KM goes to the final blow from an enemy ship
Quote: agree, simply adding a killmail for self-destructed ships would prevent many, many people from being cheated out of a legitimate kill. The only current solution is to "blob moar"
Quote:Killmails ARE important to a great many people. Self destruct is important in certain cases, stranded in a wormhole for example, podding yourself is pretty nessesary. However SD'ing while in battle, has no legit use and should not be allowed. The only thing it's used for is to hide their own failures on killboards. Like logging off (which is getting fixed), this too only really effects capitals and thus should be resolved.
Quote:SD'ing under aggression should result in a killmail. it should show that the pilot self destructed
Quote:I've lost 4-5 capital killmails this way. Honestly it's the most bullshit mechanic in the game. Loot denial, I could see it being used for that, but a kill-mail should be generated in any situation.
Also, why would you get insurance for self destructing? If you set fire to your car, the insurance company won't pay out...
TL:DR; Make self destructing capitals produce killmails. Damn nature, you scary! |
