About Us:
Placid Reborn is an active and dedicated group of mature players based in the Placid region. We are at the forefront of Intaki/Placid roleplaying and serve as the vanguard for the Intaki nationalist movement. We have strong diplomatic ties to other Intaki- and Placid-centered corporations and we will continue to maintain a strong presence on the Intergalactic Summit, representing Placid politics and Intaki nationalism to the roleplaying community.
We are an anti-pirate corporation that conducts regular patrols to counter pirate operations with Placid locals and have established a strong group of allies. To increase our presence there and replace pilots who have since found employment with other corporations, we are now actively recruiting pilots with a preference for more experienced PvP pilots.
Our members are engaged in most aspects of EVE, from PvP and mission running to industry and trade. Miners are welcome, although it is not a focus of our organization and such individuals should expect to be self-motivated. There are no required corporate activities - everything is done on a voluntary basis, and people are quick to respond to common activities announced in corp chat.
We are looking for people who are:
1. Mature. Specifically, we're looking for adults (18 or older).
2. At least one month into the game, or have at least one million skillpoints.
3. Main characters. "Alt" characters may be considered with full disclosure before application.
4. Well-spoken. The ability to communicate is essential. English is our chosen language of communication. Many of us speak it as a second or third language but English proficiency is a requirement.
5. Diplomatic. Members should also be prepared to act as representatives of Placid Reborn when they make public statements (GalNet forums, etc.) or when they speak in our public channel. Members should also be diplomatic when dealing with other players in game (unless in-character of course).
6. Open to roleplay. If not wanting to roleplay at least an understanding that we are a roleplaying corporation.
7. Well aware of our corporate policy and the diplomatic and political state of the world of EVE (and specifically the Placid region).
8. Prepared for PvP combat. We won't force anyone to fight if they don't want to, but there's plenty of combat available for those who want to fight.
9. Opposed to piracy. We see piracy as the biggest problem in the Placid region and work actively to oppose it. Our members are encouraged to do that as well as maintain a positve security rating themselves.
10. Preferably Intaki (or Placid residents). Intaki/Placid politics are important to many of us.

I've only been with Placid Reborn for a week but I can highly recommend the experience.
If you ever wanted to get involved with RP side of EVE then seeing the combined fleet escorting one of the true reborn back to Intaki was a site to behold.
Hopefully more to come.

As I understand garlic is a major ingredient of Gallente cuisine. Isn't this like the pot calling the kettle black?

Me heartily agrees, Placid Reborn taught me to type gooder.
PR are a smart, friendly, capable corp, but not the nerdy speccy kind of smart. More the hot, Denise-Richards-as-nuclear-weapons-expert-Christmas-Jones kind of smart. Hot-smart.

A friendly bump for a great group.
Jalia and Kakita taught me combat when I was but a wee frigate pilot. Those wishing to fight piracy in placid should join this corp. You learn a lot from these folks.
GRAWR!
