I seem to remember a dev (can't remember who) stating that in the future the bug database would be opened up so the community could see their bugreports and the comments added to them.
is this still planned? I know one of the reasons people don't submit bug reports is because they think they go into a big black hole never to be seen again. being able to see the progress of your report (even if it's just closed with the message "already in bug database") would encourage more people to submit them.

I doubt that will happen, since they won't make all bugs public because of exploits and such.

There'd be no harm in seeing the status of anything you report. Obviously if theres an exploit and you report it, then seeing the status isn't going to make you understand it anymore. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

The local chat and by that i mean the actual text and whatever you type dissapears, the patch notes refer to the channels closing when you logoff and not reopening when you login again.....

The volume of motherships is too high, as a result they can not be stored in Capital Ship Maintenance bays.
Ummm.... yep. So is this getting fixed? Where do I park my Nyx's? Or do I just have to live in them? -

On-Topic :
Its good to see QA are at least aware of most of these issues, my vote would also be to update the "Known Issues" page more frequent to avoid duplicate bugreports on stuff like that. -----------------

Good to know the drone return-to-bay bugginess is on that list. It's a major source of aggrevation, but I guess I'll stop bugreporting it now and just wait for a fix at some point.
Good thing, this list. Knowing that CCP is aware of an issue is half the battle.

All my preferred bugs are in the list, that's nice.
Now, the real question is: can we hope to see an effort to empty that list as much as possible, as soon as possible ? I think it's really time for a bug hunting season, the new shiny can wait.

This may be a silly question, but if something is listed as an issue under 3900 but doesn't appear under 3911 can we assume that 3911 has fixed it?
And yes, there's a few (surely) well-known bugs missing:
- Info warfare links - Mining foreman links (and from brief test last night, mindlinks) - Cynos and cloaks - Implants not affecting capital ship modules
I'd also have to say that corp hangar lag is still an issue!

Do what I do and send in bug reports once a week for every bug you notice that isn't in known issues until they add it.
Then keep sending them until they fix it ;)
It helps if you have a notepad and pen handy when playing since I'm sure I actually forget most of the bugs I encounter before I logout.
The best place to whine about balance issues is on the forums. The best place to whine about bugs is through the bug reports page.
Assuming they don't get redirected to \dev\null

A few pointers about the known issues list i'd like to add..
1. The patch number is wrong, it should be 3910 (Fixed)
2. I knowingly excluded some defects, those that i left out where either (in my personal opinion) not effecting gameplay that much, they where exploitable in some way or not been 100% confirmed by CCP QA.
3. The Known issues list will be updated more frequently from now on.

Not effecting game play that much? You've got to be kidding. That must be the catagory you've put all the bugs in that have been here since day one. So I guess that means those of us who reported those bugs must be just *****ing about them since it's not effecting our gameplay much. I loose more and more respect for the devs every patch.

SUBliminal messages, what EVEr next.
Information electronic superiority warfare modules - dont work - applies bonus to array strength instead of ECM modules.
BUG reported - FEB and confirmed with GM's
So whilst not on the list - its in hand and will appear soon :o).
Nice work and try not to mention CIA in convo's with iceback as he has limited metalic paint left :D.
Would still love to see a bugzilla level display of bugs. But hell i'm human, i'm greedy by nature or I die :).

Patch Notes
Originally by: Patch Notes Miscellaneous
Links stored in the notepad will no longer cause errors. Various minor chat channel and IGB fixes have been made, including: Chat channels are now correctly saved when exiting the client, and reopen correctly on logon. Characters that would appear as HTML text after a cut/copy and paste now appear as normal. Decreasing the size of a chat window no longer causes existing text to overlap. "EVE System" is now its proper red color and double clicking on the system name will open a 'Show Info' window for the system. The IGB has been optimized and now parses pages faster. Text inputs that exceed the specified field size will show the beginning of the text, not the end. A partial fix for pages with a large number of errors has been made. These pages will render more smoothly, but there is still the possibility of a client lock while the page loads. A rare issue with 302 redirects has been resolved. Pre-selected Checkboxes in a table that are unselected will no longer be submitted. The client no longer crashes when rendering some Jin-Mei male portraits. Quitting the tutorial with an Achura character will no longer cause an Overview error. Added a Reimbursement category in petitions
Not sure if that's regarding local though, just says chat channels...
I think he's referring to an issue where local or gang channels usually just goes blank. The window stays, but you cant read anything in it, and the list of people in the channel seems to go a bit screwy as well.
This is a common bug. Only way to fix it is to exit the game and log in again currently.

Mining Foreman Link - Laser Optimization gives an incorrect bonus
This is inaccurate, even if the link shows to high bonus, i.e., appears to be affected by Squadron leader skill. The link simply does not work at all, i.e. has no effect.
Does the mining foreman mindlink implant not work either? I am close to completing 8 weeks of training for that thing!!!
I hope this will make it into a bug fix patch soon.

There'd be no harm in seeing the status of anything you report. Obviously if theres an exploit and you report it, then seeing the status isn't going to make you understand it anymore.
I can't say I agree with this. I used to run a league that got mods from a third party. Even showing the title of the issue (Like: Drone exploit), without any further specification, would make many people look for the exploit, and invariably they always found out how to (ab)use it.
So a known issues list is fine, but full view into the bug database is a nono where I'm concerned. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss. Rimhawk V8 Interceptors |

I know Mephysto mentioned something along this line in his recent Dev Blog in the third paragraph, but I am guessing you meant in the past. Regardless, a player viewable 'Known Defect' list (sans exploits) is in the works.
