It should be a bannable offense. Also, can't the relevant authorities use his Twitter to track him down and charge for vandalism? That said, I'm not sure how much damage this actually amounts to. |

Gevoln did not do it. He's hardly even a fan of Eve, I certainly can't imagine him going to fanfest. The twitter account was made just to publish the picture and smear Gevlon with it. What can I say, I find that someone vandalising an actual work of art related for and paid for by the developers of this game is more a reason to ban someone that someone asking someone to sing some songs (and since it's an actual real world crime, doe in fact violate the EULA/TOS). I'm fairly sure that's because Imgur automatically resizes and stuff... It doesn't just make a copy but saves its own version of the image.
Also, what's with people claiming this is just spaceship shenanigans? If i come over and blow up your kitchen because of a difference we have in EVE, does that mean i go free 'because it's just because of a game'?
Actually damaging something in RL, whether it's just a scratch or dropping a nuke on it, is a crime in any country.

Defacing property is so much more serious than attempting to end someone's life in the world of goons? You do know that Mittens would have been looking at jail time if CCP or what's his name had pressed charges, right?

Because CCP threw wide the gates to this sort of thing not coming down like a tone of bricks on mittens. After all, if doing power points to manipulate someone into taking their own life isn't a serious crime, vandalism is hardly worth talking about. |

Particularly so soon after the Bonus Room episode and all the screeching when CCP exercised their right to enforce their EULA without asking permission from forum ragers. And various people went, predictably, berserk. I'm sorry, I can't help but find it hilarious. Deface my name on the monument and I'd probably wet myself laughing. Both 'victims' are the least likely to inspire any sort of sympathy, but fair play for being outraged on behalf of the 'community'.
I especially love the This is just despicable! Goon posts, and the irony in making these remarks immediately after fanfest. I hope the 'perp' pleads not guilty, cos they were drunk. Xenuria's name was defaced on the monument. Gevlon Goblin was framed for it.
So what if you don't care about your name being defaced, that's still physical damage to CCP's property.
