Seriously, the range difference between all capital ships and carriers is a major annoyance. Please make them consistent with the exception of things like supers and titans.

nurf them all to half distance, with high fuel cost. I want to see the large empires struggle to maintain with reduced reaction time. Make it so they either can't or won't be able to respond to attacks from Tenal to delve in a short period. Kill the coming blue donut.

I'm torn, by having different ranges on dreads vs carriers for example there is almost some strategy involved in it (e.g.g Engage in carrier range but not dread range?), but most of the time its more just move ops that become inconvenienced . I would be cool with standardizing dread jump range with carriers and then SC with titans. But thats not to say I want SC to be able to jump as far as carrier/dreads. |

The range bonus of carriers is an advantage of them, a benefit to making them advantageous for transporting ships and the likes. Don't see any real good reason that all caps should have the same jump range. |

Why not nerf the range to the same level as Dreads but provide a module that can be fitted to the carrier/supercarrier to extend jump range at the expense of a slot(s). This way combat fit carriers are equal to dreads, and the new "travel fit" carrier involves one or more of these modules. |

What's annoying you exactly?
Also, Supers are currently NOT an exception, their 5ly base range is the most common among jump-capable ships. Do you want to change that too? |

And then carriers just refit off of one another for combat, and your module achieves nothing whatsoever.

Halving the distance will do very little to inconvenience large empires. The same link you provided shows they (we) have significant cyno beacon and jump bridge networks. All the shorter range does is add extra jumps, which in a travel setup takes about ~15 seconds.
You're better off advocating a distance-based cooldown. |

I strongly disagree with this proposal.
1) The carrier is a long range vessel, assisting people with transporting assets and quick response fleet movements. 2) Dread and supers are shorter range vessels moved with more effort on strategic operations. 3) Titans extremely short range and high power makes them a valuable asset that is very difficult to move.
There is nothing easy about setting up cyno chains for coalitions to move across multiple regions of space. The need for long chains and mobility will always be there, and reducing jump range will not remove the way coalitions tend to move assets in bulk. It will simply make logistics work harder, meaning more time moving cyno alts and less time blowing things up.
