Why is it that the astroids don't move in the solar system ? Couldn't they technically remove all of the belts, make everything a spawned anomalies so that it moves?
Or change the location of the belt at downtime?
That would be more interesting and would help against bots as their old bookmarks wouldn't be useful anymore. |

probably because some systems have 20+ belts and trying to keep track of that in the scanner would be nuts |

Wouldn't filters support making that simpler. Filter only asteroids, etc. |

While its a good idea to help reduce the Bots... there would need to be some 'non-automated' way of finding these new belts.
This would probably fall into 'Scanning with probes' and thus mean any miner would have to invest in Scanning skills.

one less thing for the server to track and calculate. planets and moons dnt move, solar systems dont move, and galaxies dnt move.
but non-static belts that come and go like ore sites is something ive always liked. Ore sites dnt require scanning skills. Ore site SHOULD need scanning skills, because its easy as **** anyway after oddesy and if you dont want to scan then you are too lazy, would make AFK camping harder to. |

when they first brought out the ore sites they said they wanted to move from static belts to just having ore sites but it's just not come to pass |

+1, although since you don't have to hunt down the sites anymore, suggest that they make mining "difficult" again -- they can have "some" sites show up all the time; but I'd like to see some effort required for the "high-end" sites.
essentially, something like this 1.0 - 0.9 --> veldspar ... scan for +scordite (and "lower sec" ores, e.g. Omber) 0.8 - 0.7 --> Veldspar, Scordite ... scan for +Plag (and "lower sec" ores, e.g. Omber) 0.6 - 0.5 --> Veld, Scord, Plag ... scan for +Omber (and "lower sec" ores, e.g. Hemo) 0.4 - 0.3 --> Veld, Scord, Plag, Omber ... scan for Jaspet (and "lower sec" ores, e.g. Gneiss) 0.2 - 0.1 --> Veld, Scord, Plag, Omber, Jaspet ... scan for Hed/Hemo (and "lower sec" ores, e.g. Gneiss) 0.0 --> freely find highsec/lowsec ores, some nullsec ores ... pretty much just scan ABC One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |
