It seems there is a new market exploit that totally messes up the DT respawns of all the markets.
I wont say the product but....
If say a products high NPC sell amount is normally 500isk, but just after DT it drops to say 400isk until a certain amount of orders are met... then it goes back up to 500isk.
Now say the maximum amount you can buy from this npc sellers is say 2,000,000 units.
Well a some bright muppet has put up a lot of buy orders of said product at:
0.1 isk per unit min order 2,000,000 units
0.2 isk per unit min order 2,000,000 units
0.3 isk per unit min order 2,000,000 units
0.4 isk per unit min order 2,000,000 units
0.5 isk per unit min order 2,000,000 units
etc.... you get the picture.
Ever since this has happend, the Npc no longer fulfill any orders. Now the lowest they will sell to you after DT is 400isk.
Even if you put up an order for 499isk the order doesnt fill. The way the market has worked has been the same for over a year, but ever since these orders went up, none of the usual traders have been able to fill their buy orders, meaning no profit for anyone.
I tried explaining this to ccp, they don't seem to understand.
The orders are all up for the full 90 day's well 76 days now. You can't cancell their order buy filling it, so there is no way to get rid of it! And until it goes the market is totally fubarred.

Edited by: Gronsak on 27/05/2006 13:39:33 i see why ccp didnt understand
want to try explain again?
btw your talking about long limbs, they are the only npc goods that have such high numbers for sale
edit: stil dont understand waht ur saying, but by the looks of it the npc is filling someone else orders before yours, then the price jumps past your bid so u get none
to test this try putting an order up for a large no at a very high price, it should fil it for u

are you saying that the npc sells to a .7 isk buy order before it sells to a 499 isk order? that makes no sense at all

How many of these orders are there? There might be some clause in the loop that says "if you've looked through N orders without finding one you can sell to, stop looking", or it might simply be set to loop N times. So they've set N+1 orders, and will wait for the prices to bottom out. Then they will cancel them and buy all available at their minimum price. |

ok it goes like this.......
At DT or rather just after the prices that NPC sellers will sell their goods at drop, good enough for a big profit.
So say I put up a buy order for 100isk below the normal NPC sell rate it will normally be filled after DT.
Ever since a whole load of orders went up for 0.1 isk minimum buy order of 5mill units went up, the market stopped working. i.e the npc are no longer filling orders after DT at the lower rate.
Now the NPC would never fill the 0.1isk buy orders because the NPC sell price never goes below 2,256isk. But no other orders are being filled either.
It's really messed up a trade route for a lot of traders that had a lot of fun battling it out with each other.
The orders have been up for well over a week and since then none of us have got a decent enough order to make any profit.
Somehow its fubarred up the system.

No I'm saying it cant fill the 0.7 isk order... but for some reason the lots of <1 isk orders that could never be filled are messing up the system so that no orders that would make a profit can be filled.
