Alrightey, after "mastering" (ie Gotten to level four....the ten days to get them up to level five doesn't seem worth it just yet) all the Small Turret skills and all the Race's Frigate skills...not to mention pretty much very other skill that would help me piloting a Frigate to the best of it's capabilities....I'm growing a little bored.
Lately I've been chugging away in Hodrold, building up a steady cashflow and feeling well 'ard (Unless it's three Angel Thugs plugging away at me, my shields are always over 60%), of course....it's at this point I'm feeling a little, I dunno, "bored".
I love the game, make no mistake about that, but it seem I've gone as far as I want to with Frigates (The risk/reward ratio seems too steep in for other system NPCs, in my opinion, and I'm not prepared to ruin my reputation as a coward just so I can gank some un-suspecting newbies).
So I leave my fate in your hands, shall I abandon Frigates and start training up the Cruiser skills so I have something more to look forward to? Shall I abandon my near-total independence and start relying on cash from Agent missions?
I can't think for myself, so...eh.
Anyway, apologies if I don't reply anytime soon, I have a Socialist meeting () to go to in a couple of hours and I need to get ready for it.

Begin training those Cruiser class skills, then get experience in them.
Eventually, you'll be glad you got those frigate skills, as you'll like them more and more as you cruiser/bship starts to bore you.

what was the question?
what to do next? why not start the first EVE commune, yah freakin pinko! heehee
actually, I think you should join an alliance that does thinks that interest you... either player fighting, or mining, or whatever gets your rocks off the most. the game gets a lot less boring when you interact with the 3000+ people usually online. (funny, i wish we could see stats of NCP kills vs. player kills. i wonder how many people are bored with the game, but totally freak out when they get attacked by real thinking players. HEAVENS! the unfairness!) I find the NCP stuff to get old pretty quick. not much AI there... so leave it to yor fellow meat machines to make things interesting for you. personally, I think outright hostility is the best medicine for boredom. so i will spend my time mostly in fighting outfits when trying out alliances..

Go for Cruiser skills... and the mayor reason is isk... you can do 4 times more money with a cruiser than with a frigate... and in this game you need money....

Bah... I kinda think part of the problem is, things like Cruisers are far to easy to get and keep.
When I used to think of this game, I was under the impression that being able to solo own a cruiser was a big deal...
Now every tom **** and harry in town has 2 or more of em...
I used to see frigates all the time, but now?
It's usualy either a Thorax, a Bestower or a Battleship... Sad...
Galaxion > If you drove a car shaped like a thorax women would call you Demangel > Dude... I would call.. Demangel > wait that sounded g@y I bet. Galaxion > Just a bit.

Edited by: Tenashi on 23/09/2003 19:27:21 the longer a product is in production and the more competition there is the price goes down. bought my very old thorax for 13mil 2 weeks after release, now 1 hour of mining is enough to buy 1

I hear ya... have flown Frigates for ~3 months now, finally decided to get into a Stabber. It's nice, but I miss my Frig.
Granted, Stabber is basically just a big Frig anyway ;)

It's time to take the bull ny it's pig tails and go for it! erm..
Just because you train cruiser lvl does not mean you can't fly frigates. I have a garage full of both. I don't get rid of any of my ships.
Cruisers will enable you to take any combat skills learnt on frigates to reap better rewards.
Each ship class has it's own pros and cons...A hoard of frigates CAN take down a battleship.
I wish you well in your journey. |

Alrighty! Alexia I feel your pain, I love frigates. Their base speed is awesome and theres is nothin more satisfying than crushing cruisers with a mere frigate, though at this point I feel I should mention that I do have a cruiser and have had one for a very long time.
I have seen friends leave the game because they have got there battleship and without entering into PvP they feel there is nothing left to do, so I say this take your time enjoy the game, see how far you can push a frigate, you'd be surprised! It's not the size it's how you use it has never been more true
All my remaining friends always ask me "so are you mining for your battleship?" and when I reply to the negative they seem to get confused, but me, well hell I'm happy and they're cancelling.
