Hey all,
In the newest build on Sisi, we should have a bunch of little ui things for you to test and give us feedback on.
- Reload timers
- Repair timers (very very slow, but they are moving )
- Right click menu to clear all broadcast icons in Watchlist
- Chat Invites are logged
- Collapse functionality of windows removed except for the header
- Possible to drag (some) chat channels from Channel window to create a link people can click to join the channel
- Linking something that starts on "http://" now works ("http://' is not added again)
- "Plug in" option in right click menu for implants has been moved below "Show Info" and away from "Jettison"
- Targeting indicator in Survey scanner shows which asteroids are targeted at the time the scan finishes
- There are now 2 different icons for Warp Scramble and Warp Disrupt in the effects bar above the HUD and in the Overview (please test this, for all sorts of warp scrambling effects and NPCs)
- New Fleet Adverts are preloaded with the settings from the last Fleet Advert you published (only stored locally)
- Proper right click menu added to the Jump Clone location in the Charactersheet, allow you to set destination from there
We are still working on a few things, and you might see them on Sisi soon. When the time is right, I'll update this thread so keep posted

You can edit the text of a hyperlink in chat so that you can link to a URL but make it appear as though you're linking to an entirely different URL. There's no way of knowing what the proper URL is unless you either click on the link and go to the hidden URL (which can lead to something you really don't want to see), or right click, copy link, and paste it somewhere. You should add mouseover text that says what kind of link something is and if it's a URL, the actual URL instead of the hyperlink text.

So the first one, Amazing - would be interesting if it was possible to cancel a reload, especially if you accidentally hit ranged ammo rather than close ranged. Second can you explain that a bit more - i'm assuming this is relation to Nanite paste and OH'd Modules? Third one - would it be possible to have the asteriods 'scanned' show up in space with an effect to them, rather than having to rely upon using the overlay. Would also be awesome if the results from the cargo scan could be incorporated with the new tool tips, i.e. hover over an asteriod and it comes up with Veldspar - 15km - x Units remaining. This would update every survey scan

I played around with the nanite paste repair timer and a couple of times after canceling repair on the next activation I could heat my MWD for much longer than usual before it got damaged. One time I did over 15 overheated MWD cycles in a row without taking any heat damage which doesn't seem right if nothing else has changed. This was done on partially repaired MWD and the damaged part flashed red every time the MWD cycled. Eventually the MWD or some other module would take damage but this is so much different from current Tranq where three cycles of MWD might break it that something seems wrong or is heat really this random?
Is there a point why repair module is at the bottom in the right click menu list and cancel repair is second highest? Both should be at the same place (at the bottom).
Also a couple of feature requests because these have been bugging me for a long time now.
Any chance we could get an ingame stopwatch that is affected by time dilation or reactivation timer for modules like the bomb launcher? Currently the only way to know if you can launch another bomb in changing TiDi is to try to fire it because it's extremely hard to estimate how much real time has passed when TiDi keeps changing for whatever reason.
Ingame time dilation affected stopwatch would also help with small things like knowing accurately when your interdictor bubble is about to expire. It's pretty ridiculous that currently the best way to know these timers in changing TiDi is to launch scan probes beforehand and calculate how much time has really passed from the scan probes' expiration timer... |

Just tested on Tranq in a stiletto, sensor booster in next slot, therm 4 alt: after 3 for damage, 8 for burn out after 3 for damage, 6 to burn out. after 1 for damage, 3 to burn out. (forgot to reset heat by switching ships) after 3 for damage, 6 to burn out.
This does not seem to match sisi at all.

I've never bothered to test heat mechanics myself because they are just too random but there really seems to be something wrong here. Either some other dev has changed something or heat damage doesn't get properly applied to modules sometimes or I am just pretty lucky with heat damages today. So someone tell me if this is normal: http://youtu.be/BUXUQP9u4mY
That's 25 or so MWD cycles in a row before the MWD burned out with thermodynamics 4 and I started with some heat in the mid rack. Sure the sensor booster broke a lot faster but still this seems a bit extreme and a lot different than before. Maybe it's normal? I have no idea. |

You should add mouseover text that says what kind of link something is and if it's a URL, the actual URL instead of the hyperlink text.
I fully support this. Too many times have I seen KM's linked in fleet only for them to link into a Chat channel that instantly shows I'm in it. I don't like that you can be scammed via a hyperlink, markets, trading, ISK scammers sure but not something that's supposed to be a genuine link.
Showing 'Killmail', URL, 'Chat Channel' on hover-over would certainly get around this and enable me to make an informed decision instead of "OMG [Char Name] lost his [Ship Name]...CLICK...ah crap...didn't want to see that at all" Fast Character Switching "XP Stylee" Undocking - More Routes Out of Station Here's my tear jar > |_| < Fill 'er up! |

These are awesome changes, much better in improving the game than that train wreck that is the new tooltip system, thank you!! The repair / reload timers are particularly nice, as is the ability to set destinations from the jump clone list. But OMG I hate that windows constantly collapse when I double click stuff and if you've prevented this I will sacrifice a thousand rifters to the Sun god in your honor.
One thing that would be nice with repairing mods is if the drop down menu told you how much repair paste you would need for the mod, like Repair (8) or something when you right click on a module.
Also, maybe this has been addressed elsewhere, but I've always found it strange that ancillary reps (e.g. small ancillary armor reps) do not show how much HP they rep per cycle, unlike regular repairers. If that's easy to add it would be useful to have. |

It feels slower, but that could entirely be due to staring at the heat indicator to watch it going down. All my characters have the skill trained, so I cant test it.
Edit: I know this isnt quite the right thread for this, but would it be possible to have size indicators of some sort on modules like propulsion mods, neuts and nos, etc? |

UI God-King Karkur, could you take a look at how chat windows behave, when horizontally shrunk so that not all channels are displayed?
First, there should be an indicator that blinks when channels that are not displayed have new content.
Second, when moving to a channel, that channel should be set to the middle of the bar, instead of the bar only scrolling just enough to see that channel.
For an example, I am in chat channels A-Z. My chat bar is wide enough to show channels A-D (4 channels)
If I use the right click menu to navigate to channel G, the current behavior shows me D,E,F,G. This makes it impossible to scroll through channels without using the right click menu. If instead, it showed me E,F,G,H, I could then quickly go through chat channels with normal clicks. |

After checking out the reload timer specifically, i'm rather disappointed that:
There are no numbers to the reload - would be more useful than the approximation the rotating circle gives us (altho its presence there is much appreciated).
It doesn't work for cloaks for the cloak reactivation delay.
And now that i mention cloaks, can we get the sensor recalibration time showing up as a debuff? https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4259327 - more suff in the Zero.Zero collection |

I like these changes a great deal, as always. CCP Karkur has a way of making using the interface a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Because this is how we interact with the environment that is a very important contribution to game play.
Suggestion: would it be asking too much to have a little progress bar around our portrait in the menu [much like the one around the modules] that shows how long till the next clone jump when we recently used a jump clone? It would give us an at-a-glance idea of how long we had to wait till the next available clone jump? |

- Repair progress displayed (very very slow, but it is moving ) (see here on my personal youtube page: http://t.co/s5vNCnBF6b) - Thank the Gods
- Right click menu to clear all broadcast icons in Watchlist - I probably won't use this but sweet
- Chat Invites are logged - I can no longer accidentally ignore people (good and bad)
- Collapse functionality of windows removed except for the header - I totes don't know what this means
- Possible to drag (some) chat channels from Channel window to create a link people can click to join the channel -n1
- Linking something that starts on "http://" now works ("http://' is not added again) - n1
- "Plug in" option in right click menu for implants has been moved below "Show Info" and away from "Jettison" - >Well Played!
- Targeting indicator in Survey scanner shows which asteroids are targeted at the time the scan finishes - OK
- There are now 2 different icons for Warp Scramble and Warp Disrupt in the effects bar above the HUD and in the Overview (please test this, for all sorts of warp scrambling effects and NPCs) - SWEETNESS, I'll still probably die though :rip:
- New Fleet Adverts are preloaded with the settings from the last Fleet Advert you published (only stored locally) - Sweetness
- Proper right click menu added to the Jump Clone location in the Charactersheet, allow you to set destination from there - Cool
Good stuff! Excited to see what else you fix that I didn't realize needed fixing.

There's no way of knowing what the proper URL is unless you either click on the link and go to the hidden URL (which can lead to something you really don't want to see), or right click, copy link, and paste it somewhere.
Example: being given a goatse link that's been edited to appear as a link to our fleet participation tracking site.
You should add mouseover text that says what kind of link something is and if it's a URL, the actual URL instead of the hyperlink text. I fully support this. Too many times have I seen KM's linked in fleet only for them to link into a Chat channel that instantly shows I'm in it. I don't like that. You can be scammed via a hyperlink, markets, trading, ISK scammers sure but not something that's supposed to be a genuine link. Showing 'Killmail', URL, 'Chat Channel' on hover-over would certainly get around this and enable me to make an informed decision instead of "OMG [Char Name] lost his [Ship Name]...CLICK...ah crap...didn't want to see that at all"

What a nice change, a chance to read a list of changes and not facepalm, most of those fit into either 'neat' or 'should have been ingame 10 years ago', either way good changes are good.
Quote: Collapse functionality of windows removed except for in the window header This is actually quite annoying for me as I never have an issue with that, and like the option to dbl click anywhere 'empty' to collapse a window, I can though see it could be a major pita if you misclick in a rush so since we'll never get decent customisation options this is best option overall.
Also +9001 to the requests for visible timer on mjd/cloaks/any other currently 'hidden' ones, mjd is one I frequently find myself wondering exactly how long ago I last used.
Alfetta Atavuli wrote:Talking about chat windows... any hopes on the client saving/remembering the order of chat tabs? Pretty please? ;-)
It's supposed to do this already and does so for everyone I've asked ingame about it, however I have same issue where it does not, and every login one of my chat stacks likes to rearrange its tabs for fun, fix would be nice indeed. |

There is a location search input in the autopilot settings. Alternately you could just try typing it in chat and autolinking. |

sorry for my poor presentation
let me explain in this way
you've got 10 rifter killmail, naming "1" , "2", "3", ....... "9", "10" etc. they are separated by pages, "1" to "5" at first page, "6" to "8" at second page, "9" "10" at the last page
when typing 'rifter' at first page, only "1" to "5" show up when typing 'rifter' at second page, only "6" "7" "8" show up when typing 'rifter' at last page, only "9" "10" show up
rather than when typing 'rifter' at any page, "1" to "10" all show up
Is it intended? |

Reload timers are awesome, especially on things like AAR and ASBs. I think someone pointed out that there are a few modules with a reuse delay that would also benefit from the same display- MJDs (already mentioned) and cloaks are the main ones that spring to mind for me, but those would be icing on the cake of a fantastic change. |

The changes to the info panel for sensor strength and damage are very welcome. However I noticed that in drones, there are duplicate entries for armor and shield in Miscellaneous and they do not look like they look in the shield and armor groups of the attributes window.
==============
Secondly a little additional padding between the icon for sensor strength and damage would make them bleed together a little less. Maybe the same amount of padding as in between the shield/armor icons and their bars.
==============
I also noticed that there is some inconsistency between how the numbers in the armor/shield/hull resistance bars are displayed sometimes. Even in the same set, some numbers are displayed with additional significant digits and others aren't.
E.g. the Moa's shield are listed as:
16%, 32.80%, 49.60%, and 58.00%.
==============
I figure a lot of people are going to be looking at drone attributes soon with all the changes. It would be nice if some of the items were re-categorized Much love and appreciation for the UI people who make this happen.
Weaponry (or Gunnery): - Optimal Range (from Targeting) - Accuracy falloff (from Targeting) - Tracking speed / Accuracy (from Targeting) - Rate of fire (from Miscellaneous) - Damage Modifier (from Miscellaneous) - Damage (from Miscellaneous)
Propulsion: - Orbit Velocity (from Miscellaneous)

Almost forgot. If a tooltip on the "lock target" button ("Selected Item" window) showed the current maximum locking range - that would be cool. A pilot who often uses different kinds of ships can't remember all of their targeting ranges for all characters, and having to open the fitting window or lurk in the ship info for that - is not good. Broadcast types can now be colorcoded in the "History" tab of the Fleet window. Colors are assigned from the Broadcast Settings window This is good but kind of repainting the wheel so to speak. What would make this 100 % better is if you could change the colour to flashing or different colour for people on your watch list. This means they would stand out better on broadcast history from the other broadcasts.
