Ok one week is up so far 34 tickets out of the 50 have been sold. This isnt really enough to make the whole thing worthwhile so I will extend the deadline by another week but im sure it should be wrapped up in a few days.
For those who have already bought a ticket, as it has been extended you may mail Nacis in game for a refund if you do not wish to wait for the draw. This only applys to people who have already bought a ticket, any new tickets wont be refunded until the new extended end day of next monday.
Too clarify however if the auction does not go ahead all tickets will be refunded.
So 16 tickets to go, tell your friends .

Not picking on you, as you may have noticed that I always reply to any lottery that has the organisers pick the winning ticket number. My question is how would the buyers know that the winning ticket is genuine? I would suggest linking it to a lottery to avoid any doubt. -- The Scammers Cookbook |

Edited by: Yarek Balear on 06/06/2006 11:00:21 It's a valid question - one that I raised earlier... I'll give you a scenario - lets say that a few of MC, or friendly of Loxy applied to the lottery and bought tickets and one of them won - would some people suspect it was fixed, of course they would. It wouldn't necessarily mean it had been, but equally it wouldn't be a defendable position other than with the argument "OMG-U-SUCK-LEMME-ALONE"...
Now if it was linked to the UK National Lottery bonus ball (1-49 possibilities), then no matter what happened no-one could suspect it being fixed and it would be independently verified (through their website).
It's not a dig or an accusation on Loxy, I'm sure he's honest in this respect - but why allow doubt to occur when it's possible to remove it completely ?
[EDIT: Also, those in the UK could sit and watch the draw and jump up and down only for their family to find out it was an in-game prize they won and not millions ]

Ok I will now remove number 50 and use the british national lottery to draw the winning number. The first number of the main draw being the winning number.
I really didnt bother looking into more secure means to drawing this as frankly I trust myself to hand out a virtual item in a game to the rightfull winner, people who know me I hope would know that would always be the case. But yes your right in this case theres no reason not to make it more open, I only hope all the tickets are sold in time for the next lottery so there will not be a wait.

Since you are linking it to a real life lottery, what the hell, put me for one ticket, any number. Then when I win, people will say "Macro scammed the UK Lottery to get a vindi".
Isk will be sent to Nacis as soon as I log in. -- The Scammers Cookbook |

And closed! Massive surge of ticket sales, I guess I should have gone with the rl lottery to start with if it helped so much thx guys . All tickets have been accounted for so we are now waiting for tomorrow evening 19:00 gmt I belive for the uk lottery results. The first ball of the main lottery will be the winner. I will update the thread then.
Also to clarify there are 3 anonymous players (Mr X, Z and Y) who have tickets, so even if the results of the draw depend on the rl lottery it will be up to them if they reveal themselves should they win.
So all closed, thx for playing, results in 24 hours.

Excellent... thought using an independantly verifiable completely unfixable source like the UK Lottery Bonus Ball would speed up the ticket sales...
On a side note, I had a job interview this morning and I'm more excited about this lottery draw

For those who cant watch the draw on TV the website is here, its the "Lotto" draw so the red box on the left and will be updated fairly quickly I imagine tonight around 19:00 Eve time, so watch until it updates to draw number 1091 (wednesday 7th) and the bonus ball is the winning number here .

Technically, since it was largely myself that persuaded the seller to use the National Lottery and that's why he won, he should give me a bung
