I've been trying to do incursions recently, but not being able to access Amarr space is limiting my ability to do them. I currently have a -8.88 actual standing with Amarr, and I'm trying to find the easiest/fastest method to stop Amarr from trying to kill me. I've read this but I'm not quite sure on the things it says. The post says to
Quote:Pick your highest unfriendly Faction above -5.00 standing and do all of the Tutorial/Career Agent missions for that Faction. This alone is confusing me, because I'm not sure if it's a requirement for the faction to be "unfriendly", and I'm not sure if when it says "highest" it means the closest to 0 rather than the most negative number. As I mentioned, I'm trying to raise standing for Amarr, but the post I linked is very unclear about at what point I'm actually supposed to do things for Amarr. Do I immediately start doing tutorials for Amarr? Won't I get killed if I do? Do I do tutorials for Caldari and just keep doing everything for them? Do I stop doing missions for Caldari at a certain point and start doing them for Amarr?
Or could I just skip all this and do data center missions? I'm merely trying to get my standing away from "terrible" so the Amarr navy doesn't kill me on sight.
Also, what is the exact number I need to go from "terrible" standing to "bad"? It's not -5.00 because I have other factions that are worse than this and they are still only "bad" |

Train the Diplomacy skill to L5. It should do.
If not quite enough, find the L1 Datacenter agents (Google is your friend), get a shuttle, get the tags, avoid the Navy and better your standings.
I was -9.97 some weeks ago, almost -6.0 factoring Diplomacy V, did the Datacenters, dropped down to -4.74, worked out just fine.
Edit: They are as corrupt as anyone, they'll take your ISK, go talk to these agents! |

Seeing as your mainly saying your Amarr standings are crap, I'm guessing your Caldari standings are better. Go to Caldari space and do the tutorial/career agent missions there. That will raise both your Caldari standings and Amarr. If your Amarr standings are then high enough not to get killed, go and do the tutorial/career missions there to raise them even more.
Remember, as you raise your Amarr/Caldari standings, your Minni/ Gallante standings will drop somewhat. |

Thank both of you, this is exactly what I wanted to know. I have a -3.11 standing with Caldari (-1.54 with diplomacy) . I'll get diplomacy to IV at the least and do the Caldari tutorials/careers and see where that gets me. If that doesn't get me enough standing to not get killed I'll do what Starrakatt said and try using the datacenters with Ammatarr ( I think this brings up Amarr standing). I've got a 2.42 standing with Gallente and a 2.22 standing with Minmatar so hopefully I can get just enough standing with Amarr and not mess these up a whole lot. |

Thanks Mara.
Shefus,
The 'Plan' you linked is the old version, Mara has linked the updated newer version. Those old 'Tutorial' agents are no longer active.
The line you quoted - Pick your highest unfriendly Faction above -5.00 standing and do all of the Tutorial/Career Agent missions for that Faction.
The key word in that quote - unfriendly.
Anyway, SexTrader is correct.
There are 4 main Factions split up into 2 allied powers, Amarr and Caldari verses Gallente and Minmatar. Your 'Friendly' Factions are Gallente and Minmatar which means your 'Unfriendly' Factions are Amarr and Caldari.
So looking at your 'Unfriendly' Factions, whichever one is above -5.00 standing is the one you start with. In this case it is Caldari at -1.54 since Amarr is below -5.00 standing.
While working the Caldari Event Agents listed in the 'Plan', keep watch on the Amarr Faction standing and when it get's above -5.00 standing, you can then safely enter Amarr space and work the Amarr Event Agents.
Remember to keep watch on your standings and 'Bounce' to the other Factions when needed to maintain access to the Event Agents. Before traveling to the Amarr Data Center's, make sure you can enter their space. You just might have to do a few of the Caldari Data Center missions first. |
