Hi peeps.
Just curious on how people fit for fighting angels, with their dominix's?
my fitting so far is:
4 Heavy Nosfs Large remote rep 125mm t2 with spike(aggro weapon)
5x Eutetics (18%)
T2 Large rep T2 Med rep Cpr 2x T2 Explosive hardener T2 Kenetic Hardener T2 Thermic
5x T2 Berserkers
The tank can run forever, but the 3x 1.85m spawns are slowly chewing through, but never under 50% armor, before they die.
I heard that i should tank Explosive/kenetic the most, so should i change the thermic for another kenetic or so?
Let me know what you fit

How about shield tanking ?
When cpr and shield boost amp stacked together, you could get good results shield tanking angels with the dom. It's probably harder right now but it should still work.
NB.

With good cap skills you should be able to make two large reps run forever, but it would mean dropping a Nosf to doso due to grid constraints.

My cap skills are maxed, so should i drop the thermal hardener, for a large rep, and the medium rep for another cpr ?

Edited by: space fox on 03/06/2006 16:25:06 Sorry i should of been more clear, two large tii reps will tank anythign you meet. You cant fit two large reps and 4 Nosf thoguhtt so your going to have to lose one of them.
So you end up with 3 large nos, a tractor beam and a pair of whatever small guns, a rack fo cap chargers, two large reps, a cpr and the hardners.

yeah i know, the nosfs are not to help my own cap, its just to kill their tanks easier

I've heard this works well:
6x 250mm t2 5x rech 2x LAR II, 3 hardeners + eanmII, relay.
Won't run 4ever, but for very long indeed. With t2 drones they die fast.
Havent shoot any angel for some time. Also as someone said before, you can try shield tanking, XL booster, boost amp, 2x t2 invul + cap recharger. With 6x t2 pdus and dmg control it runs long and has good resists. --------- Dead already? |

Why bother with the small and med drones? I find by the time ive re-called my drones and launched the smaller one the heavy drones could of got the job done?

highs dual 250 s, 1 drone range mod med afterburner, caprechargers, drone tracking mod low 2x1600 plate, lg armor rep, explosive resist, all round resist, hp module, last slot whatever you want
drone bay 5 gardes, 5 bouncer, 5 hammerhead, repair drones
Angels are close range fighters in most cases so use the extra range from the 250s or 350s to avoid multiple agro and deny then their advantage.

I'd seriously shieldtank it anyway. Especially as you're using all 5 meds for cap atm (no AB/MWD/Web/whatever).
Something like 2-3 invulni fields, amp and booster in meds (1 slot for whatever if you just use 2 hardeners, drone tracking for example). Lows for powerdiags. If you're fitting all T2 you'll prolly need a cpu thingie.
High, as you don't have grid problems anymore, can be whatever mix you want from Nos, L blasters (half of them fly nicely into range), L rail, Drone range mod, small guns.

This is what I will be using to kill angels:
Hi: 2x Heavy Nos.
Med: 4x Cap Rechargers, 1x Cap Injector.
Low: 2x LAR, 1x 1600mm plate, 2x Explosive Hardners, 1x Kinetic Hardner, 1x Thermic.
It can run one LAR for quite a long time, the second LAR and the injector are for really tough spawns. I'm not really sure what to fill the remaining high slots with, I might try Drone link Augmentors and perhaps small railguns to get aggro.

It's pretty much the same with all NPC factions... Most of them die nicely to heavy drones, but there are 1 or 2 of the "NPC T2 frigates" which heavy drones have huge problems with (like minute+ to kill one). Whenever you find one of them you really want small drones.
Note that in my experience, not all available types of NPCs spawn in all systems. If I go NPC in stain I run into various types I've never found in catch, and the other way (sansha in both). So it's very possible some ppl has never had the "lol @ heavy drone"-npcs.

Edited by: R''adeh on 03/06/2006 17:51:32 4 250mm II rails, 2 heavy nos (in case you get jumped by some stupid hac) 5 CR II 2 T2 large reppers, 2 expl / 1 kin hardener, 1 t2 EANM, 1 cpr
Berzerkers (some t2 valks)
Tank runs forever if you use a lot of CR II instead of named cap rechargers. Been using that setup for 10months now and haven't lost a single domi to rats...including the toughest Domination spawns...
PS: replace 1 of the CR II with a disruptor for some pvp fun in between
