This probably belongs in the science channel or something but I know I would hardly get any views there and this is a legitimate thing I want to discuss with people.
Today I was in amarr talking about blueprint originals, and I had people telling me to wait until the indy changes to buy BPOs. My question is: why? Is it worth buying BPs right now? what would make it worth waiting? are BPOs still going to be worth it? Basically what I am trying to discuss is: now or later, and why? I will be using a POS in the near future so lets take station manufacturing out of the equation.
Reasons I can see why people would say wait: high sec manufacturing will be more expensive. station manfacturing in general is going to be more expensive anywhere where a lot of people are going to be. possible changes in prices?
aside from that I'm stumped.
So, fellow capsuleers, what is your input? |

T2 BPOs yeah don't buy, but regular everyday T1 BPOs from NPCs or on contract, I don't see a need to wait.
If you are going to run a POS for manufacturing in highsec, then the BPO in a station for copying will still be valuable, otherwise the BPO direct in the POS if you are comfortable with that. Come Win At Eve - Join The Vendunari

BPCs are going to fall dramatically in price, but I don't anticipate much chang ein BPOs.
Unless they mean that there are going to be a bunch of firesales as people tearfully ragequit as a few do when any change ever is made. "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his ISK/hr depends upon his not understanding it!" |

Buy now, and get them to ME 10 before the Crius expansion.
Doesn't matter much on small stuff, but on ship BPOs, a battleship BPO takes about one month to get to ME 10 now, but will take 4.3 times as long after Crius.
Edit: Don't buy BPOs if the primary use for them is for-profit copying. That means you, all freighters BPOs. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=346564 - a proposal to overhaul the Logistics skill https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. www.minerbumping.com - ganking miners and causing chaos |

Oh that would be awesome. I want to get back into industry, sold all my BPOs long time ago and would love to get a new set for cheap :) |

well, that depends on where they "normalize" ME 10 on the BPOs -- it might very well turn out that you need ME 50+ to hit ME 10 on a BS BPO. One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

wait- so, you're telling me that they are going to buff copy time but essentially nerf research time. nice. the research idea is a good one but I hope I can 9c+8ome across a WAY to do it before the crius changes xD.

have they not formalized this? I was under the assumption that most BPOs followed roughly the same pattern with ME |
