Good day;
Flicking over the stats of the upcomming Mordu's Legion ships, I encountered a peculiarity that I'm keen to hear players (or Dev's) thoughts on.
So, Each ship gets a:
Role Bonus
- 200% Bonus to Missile Velocity
- 50% Penalty to Flight time
Interesting, but not my concern
Gallantie [Ship Size]
- 10% To W/Scram and W/Disrupt range
Interesting - Particularly on a battleship, but not of concern
Caldari [Ship Size] - [Spell check says I should spell it 'Calamari [Ship Size] ]
- 25% Damage Bonus for the Frigate - Wouchers, But it is a pirate ship, and only has 3 launchers
- 20% Damage Bonus for the Cruiser -Woucher, Pirate ship (5 Launchers)
- 5% Damage Bonus for the Battleship -Err... Tech I level bonus? (7 Launchers)
So It would seem that as they add more launchers to a Mordu's ship, they lower the bonus to help with balancing - However with a 5% Bonus it would seem that the Blargest will be competing with tech I ships (And losing, due to the cost. Also I'm not sure how the W/Disruption bonus will work on a BS)
So, My question to passerby is: Is this ballanced? Do you see this working? If so, How? If not, should the bonus be put up to, say 10% or 15%?
For Devs: Why only 5%?
Let the debate being!

Mix the point/scram with link booster.....
BS setup is probably to prevent torp gank squads of doom. As we can argue while vindi's can be a beast, they are only a beast with ranged web support for the blaster strikes of doom. Looking at point range of say 20km's...max skill is 50% so + 10 then tack on whatever booster is giving and torp bs is pointing to at least 30 km's with some change. I am being nice here....not a shiny point and not cooking the point.
Now to make this all even with no booster....21-30 km's is still a long reach to force a target to burn either towards or away from you. Use the MWD to do that and the torps say thank you sir you are making my job much easier. I plate down a vindi or kronos....its not running very fast either.
It be lack of ranged tackle that makes this iffy in current game. Especially solo or in small groups where fast tackle may not be present or present in decent numbers.
Well that and lets not get greedy. I will man up and say I never thought I would see the day we'd get direct damage bonuses to missiles on BS'. With this ship and new rattler...ccp has made me eat my words. But tbh I will admit in this case I am quite happy ccp proved me wrong. |

mach: 5% bonus damage per level Old NM: 5% bonus per level vindi, old bhaal: no damage bonus per level.
I don't see the problem
This is like some of the other frigates, where instead of a +100% role bonus (or something like that), and then a 5%/level on top of that, they incorporate that into the per level bonus by usin a realy high bonus. Fed navy comet for example. The high per level bonus on a comet doesn't mean the Navy mega/Navy domi's bonuses are too small.
I suspect the frigs will be OPd anyway, and will get nerfed after deployment, but they start them a little OP so that people will be sure to adopt them, instead of ignore them. |

Why? They have a crappy lock range. Not like they would be kiting from 40km out with crazy transversals.
If you want the range you take sebos, leaves you with paper tank.
Looks balanced to me.
I mean they could, but if so they would die to a fart. |
