Edited by: Interscene on 09/06/2006 16:22:28 I had exactly the same problem, since the two recent small patches my computer restarts a few minutes after undocking and being in space, seems at least 5 other people have had this problem related to creative/audgy soundcards. You could try what the other random crash people have tried. For all the other people, disabling sound in EVE has completed solved this issue. It's still incredibly annoying that no-one has been able to offer any explanation for why its started happening to people who've been playing with music/sound for the last few months without a problem but thats all I can advise, I hope it works. If you already have disabled sound, or this doesn't work, try the age-old reinstall and clearing cache folder. This also can help with crashes. Interscene

Edited by: Wiccy84 on 10/06/2006 02:50:36 well that seems to have worked dont see why but it has i did not try this before because i did not see anyone mention about npc pirates and forcing to memory dump so i thought my problem was different but it seems to be working so far
then need to fix this for playing with no sound is crap it can not be to hard for them to patch this just look at the pacth thay did from 2 patches ago look at what thay have changed which will make fixing alot faster since thats where it happened

I agree, it's really stupid that no-one on these boards from the 'Dev Team' seems to have picked up on this dropping out of soundcards since the last patch, I can't imagine for the life of me how they can keep blaming the graphics cards. They havn't even updated the "known Issues" in the last month.
CCP - What did you do recently in the last two patches that has caused apparently dozens of people with working sound to get this hard-reboot problem?! Are you even looking into it? Inter
