I am not sure if it has been suggested yet, but a forum search yielded little in this direction. If it has allready been suggested, please accept my apologies.
The bulk of my income in EvE is generated by trading and industry. There is however a small change that could make my life a lot easier, and that of many marketeers for that matter. Would there be a way to allow us to place market orders in a folder, when showing the orders overview (in both wallet and market window). Much like bookmarks would be dropped in that place. A nice feature to supplement this would be a few colortags that could be applied.
In order to be aggressive on the market I am selling some items at small losses to ward income for rivaling marketeers on some of their main orders. Currently the only way for me to keep track of which ones are my (extensive) notes. Being able to drop these orders in a subfolder called 'losses' would make my life easier. A simple color code would do just aswell, though folders would be prefered on my end.
Other than selling items at a loss I have different classes of modules, ships, quick selling items, skillbooks etc. Since I do all of my trade in a single station, I am forced to choose between name (or type as it's called, but it lists alphabetically), volume left or remaining order duration as the only logical listing options. I spend a lot of my time scrolling through countless orders, trying to find an item, crosschecking with my notes to see which item type that would be (as in: high profit, low profit, in stock or not, etc...)
After having a talk with some fellow marketeers, they all agreed such a system would be in their benefit. I don't know the first thing about programming, so I have no idea if this would be a hard feature to implement or not. I would however request that it is looked at, because it would make the life of a marketeer so much simpler :)

Have you tried using the Market Quickbar?
You can create folders, it's very easy and useful.
Sure, it only allows you to group ITEMS, nothing else, but it's a start!
EDIT: also, while you have to DOUBLE click on an order to view market, you just need to SINGLE click on the quickbar. A small difference, but a big quality of life improvement (at least for me)! |

I am aware of the quickbar, but I spend more time in the overview window for the orders. It shows the information on price, ammount left, etc, which the quickbar does not offer.

Subfolders in the orders tab in the wallet is an idea that has come up before multiple times though not lately.
It has always been an idea that gets my full support. With 150+ orders up at any given time managing them in one flat list is just plain awful.
+1 Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene V - Moon 4 - Duvolle Labs Factory. Hybrid charges, Projectile ammo, Missiles, Drones, Ships, Need'em? We have'em, at affordable prices. Pop in at our Ammo Shop in sunny Alentene. |

Exactly Sable. I am currently well over 100 open orders at any given time awell and the current UI does not allow for much customization in regards to market orders. I think most marketeers will be in favor for this. The ones I spoke to were al positive about this idea. |

Order folders that match the quickbar folders would be great. |
