Edited by: Haniblecter Teg on 14/06/2006 12:42:47 Is there any ETA (or any plans?) to upgrade this antiquated forum?
We've been told that after the hardware upgrade you'll have time. But its been months now and nothing.
Really like some info. ---------------------------------------- Friends Forever

I can read everything fine, but when i want to reply i have to click Reply 2 or 3 times for the system to log me in.
But there has been some new bugs recently. Sometimes (like with this post) the post doesnt get posted when ive written something and clicks Post Reply. The thread reloads without my reply.
I noticed you edited your post while i tried to reply. Not sure if that causes it maybe.

The double post is probably because you have checked "sign me in automatically" and the first click is when you sign on which redirects you to the same page, the next click takes you to the reply page. _______________ |

For me, it doesn't let me post unless I log out, but logging out doesn't work (neither does logging in from another computer since no log in page is shown, you are just directed to the news page).
Each post attempt can take up to 10 minutes. Once I do post, the next attempt seems to work, but the third one often requires that I go through a series of log-out attempts before I can post again.

Also happened to me a couple of times. Now I select all and ctrl-c it before hitting post, saves keyboard wear and swearing!

Not for me. It's something that came in after the recent forum crash.
The first click on REPLY takes me to the login form. I enter my details and am taken back to the thread (so far so good-or at least normal prior to the crash). Now if I click REPLY I'm supposed to be able to compose a message but more often than not I have to reenter my login details.
Even reading the recent patch notes required me to login in twice.
This is something new and it's time it was looked at IMO. -- (Battle hardened miner)

Actually, its taking a third attempt now. You log in, and it appears to work but it still says you have to log in. Then the second time the login works, and the third time you post.

I always have remember on, and it still happens occaisionally.
If I try and switch accounts, it is really unhappy.

I'm having to log in all the time =/
Things need fixing pretty soon really, something as simple as staying logged in doesn't even work any more. It's getting silly.

The Auto-Logout often happens when a community manager stickies or unstickies a post, or some thread is locked.
Sometiems a reply to topic works while the quote link kicks you into the off - or vice versa. --*=*=*-- Megadon CCP wanted a well known artist and celebrity to test the new font so it's approval would be well known. They got Ray |

One of the recent Dev Blogs mentioned the size of the WebCell was being increased, and I believe one of the team tasks is to work with the forum code.

I would just settle for having that auto-logout thing go away. This is the only forum I um... visit heavily that does it.
And it's really damn annoying because when you re-log it marks everything as having been read.
