I was wondering from those of you who have incurred the wrath of Concord in high sec space as to how long it takes for them to respond, and generally how long it takes for them to pop a Kestral or Caracal. I'm asking about someplace like a belt where there isn't already a patrol or sentry guns. Is it 30 seconds, 1 minute, or more is what I'd like to know. A timeframe between act of aggression and being Concorded is what I'm after. Thanks.

In 1.0 sec space you have less then 2 seconds in which to live

What about .5 to .8, is it the same? I expected 1.0 to be an immediate smackdown. I'd rather get the info from someone who tried it the hard way rather than try it the hard way myself

If you're not worried about sec, just get into a noob frigate and shoot your civvie at a miner. Then time it.

Exactly 0.42 seconds.

Did that change in RMR? Not disputing attacks around stations/jumpgates but my experimental attack on a miner in Cistuavert this Christmas let me have fun for a whole 10 seconds

Tested it on a noob alt (at a 1.0 roid belt) took about 3 seconds for me to die.. tops.

Tested it out. It took exactly 15 seconds from aggression to pop in a newb ship in a .8 belt. And I needed 1m 8s for what I was planning. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Tested in .5 and it took 22 seconds from aggro to pop.
Curiously however the first can in the .5 belt I aggroed did not invoke a response from concord, even though the "you will be Concorded" warning came up. Instead it did a normal yellow aggression timer. I shot that can for a full 2 minutes with my Civ gun. I then tried another can and that one got me concorded as planned. I would like to know why the first can didn't call Concord though as it should.

They had to get a hauler with donuts to resupply themselves first, happens from time to time =)

nope, these were separate aggro timers. a normal yellow one the first time, then the proper red timer on the second can. They were in different belts and the first timer ran out before I aggroed the second can. they both gave the same concord warning message. edit: The second can probably had donuts in it.

I've had a 20 second response time from Concord, in 0.5
Not sure if that's typical or not, though. _______

tested a "disco" raven against a clueless alt on my secondf account at a gate in Jita on Sisi and the raven was tanked to the max possible with T1 gear and the resources left after fitting 8 smart bombs. I lasted around 20 seconds and got three cycles off. Funny but harsh. I may go and try the same in a belt in a 0.5 on Sisi too.

Well i had a strange incident. Myu overview bugged and i engaged what i thought was a war target in vuorrassi a while ago. Concord didnt pop by instantly. I warped to a station by a mistake, realigned and managed to n00b out again by warping to a planet. There was a decent amount of concord ships waiting for me there :S But i was bound to die sooner or later i guess.
Ofcourse CCP claimed there was no sign of bugs. Go figure. But thats another story.

an arbi with 4 large shield extenders and sentry drones can pop an itty 5 at a gate before getting concorded solo provided the itty isn't fitted to stop you. make sure he agresses first and you can have a catalyst provide the extra punch you need as he will get off 4 vollys with neutrons. Cost you about 2.2 mil for both ships after insurance payout.

I managed to get a hulk down to half hull in an arbitrator in a 0.6 before the fuzz had me popped. They seemed to take forever to actually damage me and prefering to take my drones out first, i guess cause they were dealing the damage. I was kicking myself that i didnt get him.

Edited by: Ma''at Bastet on 28/06/2006 02:06:43 I just ran the same experiment in a 0.5 system. It took just over 16 seconds from my first shot until Concord warped in and locked on. I was dead a second later

To follow-up on my last experiment I just timed the concord response in 1.0 space. From the time of my first shot to the time I was locked was about 8 seconds.
That means Concord responds twice as fast in 1.0 as opposed to 0.5 space (8 seconds and 16 seconds respectively). I must assume their response time increases proportionally for 0.9, 0.8 and so on.
Of course a 16 second response in 0.5 space doesn't give you much time to gank and escape anyway

Interesting... anyway best to do it in groups of rocket/light missile kessies.
btw even if you warp out, CONCORD will chase you down, I tried to board a ship in safe spot in Amarr when criminally flaged, and CONCORD came there. ------------------ If you are tired of fleet combat lag, post HERE

I have to ask, has anyone ever defeated a concord ship? I assume if you did they'd send in reinforcements, but has it ever happened?

Although they have since changed the rules to make this impossible, it's interesting

I shot at a Macro Miner (who I was certain I had the ability to shoot at as he took my bait can) in my Caracal (.7 sec), and Concord arrived 3 seconds later, weapons blazing. I don't think Concord likes me all too much if it took them over 10 seconds for them to arrive for you.

I wonder if you could setup a bunch of SS and then just keep warping around until the flag counts down.
Also I wonder what would happen if you logged off during warp ? Would concord still get you ?
