So, getting a wardec automatically means you don't undock? Who told you that, your corp? Have you even tried to fight any of the deccers? Sounds to me like you're just in a shi**y corp. Find better people to learn from. |

Keep this in mind: the deccers aren't trying to provoke a fight, they're looking for easy ganks that, unless they're completely incompetent, never put them in a position to risk anything, because theyt war dec targets that are highly unlikely to put up any kind of fight. "Easy kill" in the minds of the deccers more often than not means "find their ratting/mining/hauling ships and gank them in a situation that is impossible to lose control of."
So don't give them those easy kills! You got war decced? Great, that doesn't mean you can't go outside any more. Stop ratting, stop mining, stop hauling, and get some friends together and go do something about the deccers. Fit up some proper PVP ships (research good ships/fits if you need to), and go hunt them down. Hint: deccers often use alts that are not involved in the war dec to spot targets without being spotted themselves. Try baiting them out to judge their strength, do what you can to learn who their alts are (scour their kill mails for out of corp characters, these are most likely alts). You might surprise yourselves, and in the process find that elusive fun you were looking for.
Oh yeah, guess what? There's a good chance you're still going to die to the deccers (in fact, it's highly likely). But doesn't planning a defense/retaliation and doing everything you can to execute that plan successfully seem like a lot more fun than sitting in station doing nothing, even if you lose? Trying is where the fun is at in this game, not necessarily in the win or gain. As soon as you realize that, you will no longer struggle to have fun.
One last thing: if you actually follow my advice and try to get your corp mates out into the world and involved, and they refuse and still think the better option is to "turtle up," then you know without any doubt your corp is the problem. Food for thought. |

^^THIS! A thousand times this. He's not looking for an honorable fight, so don't give it to him. Come at him with as many friends as you can get and make him f*ck off or die :D |

What does that have to do with the OP? Shameless self-promotion of an absolutely terrible idea, next please. |

Emphasis mine. What you want from the sandbox and what you say in this statement are completely at odds with each other. What you want is for you to be able to undock and play the game you want. Your statement is the way it actually is: everyone does get to undock and play the game they want. The part you don't like is the fact that sometimes those people do things that you don't want them to do. Guess what? That's what it means to be in the sandbox. You're looking for an Eve that lets you go into your own private little world where no one is able to come and bother you. That's not a sandbox, that's WoW. |
