So with our US TZ crumbling and leaving us only an AU corp. Combined with our great leader Sith1s needing to focus on the game as a game and not a chore to manage all us crazies, we will be soon closing our doors.
Some of you will be really happy about this and those of you that are not complete shitcunts will be saddened by the lack of fleets willing to whelp into you gladly.
Mostly i write this to say 07 to those of you who have already left Rolled Out, as i haven't had internet access for the past few weeks due to moving house to say it in game to you.
And secondly to say thanks to Sith1s, he is a leader i will follow to the end of Tranquility...
You will see our pilots around, hopefully in other well known WH entities and not off to the faglands of nullsec, give them some hugs they might be crying in their pods.

Confirming my four girls will be looking for a new bed to lay in and new roof over our heads! 
On serious note I just want to echo some of my sentiments from corp mails. My time in Rolled (and previously in Sky with many of the same pilots) has easily been the best times I've had in 4+ years of EVE. Tons of good fights, lots of kills, countless laughs, eve milestones reached, and a lot of new friends made. Massive thanks to Sith1s Spectre for being a tireless worker, leader, FC and diplomat. It should come as no surprise when you see how many pilots loyally follow him between ventures. Gameplay aside he's just a great bloke too.
Along with Sith, a ton of love and thanks to guys like Brax and (before they moved on) Ama, Agent and Key for providing a ton of content and always being awesome to fly with. Even you Jester, you ****.
One thing that can't be undervalued in a corp IMO is freedom. Freedom when you fly, freedom when you shitpost, freedom to have fun in your own style. Rolled and it's leadership never had strict rules, regulations or restrictions and these qualities plus more is why I joined in the first place and one of the reasons It'll be sad to see it close. When I see corps with an adversity to forums, strict conduct rules or socially-sheepish members with a gag over their mouth I feel really sorry for them.
Whether I go back to doing my solo-thing, follow the others onto another corp, or take a different option all together is yet to be decided but I can say for sure that I wont ever be leaving W-space or forgetting the good times had in this group. 
I'll miss all you guys. I guess now I'll never know who this baby's father is.

The last two months have been a blast. Rolled Out is a great group of guys. The bottom line is that some wanted to go to null, some like small gang and others are interested in larger fleets. There was no drama and we are all still friends. If a corp has to break up I'd say this is about the best way to do it.

Had to happen in the end, at least for me. What a lot of people miss is that RLLO is still doing pretty well and a lot better than some other major groups (8th or something on kills this month?), but we're stuck in that sort of middle ground where you can't take fights with the major entities and the people smaller than you are just ganks. Some people don't mind that, but personally I hate it.
I was constantly pissed off every time HK or SSC rolled into us and we simply couldn't form more than 5-10 people to fight. In the past 24 hrs HK and SSC were both in chain twice, and Disavowed in chain once. Didn't get a chance to fight any of them due to low numbers. The only fight we got to go on was teaming up with SSC vs Disavowed and even then we could only take 5 people along.
I've always liked pvp on the larger scale and committing caps in big fights - I enjoy small gang PvP but can't do it exclusively, so with no improvement in sight for RLLO's numbers it's why the plug needed to be pulled. |

Rolled Out (starting when they were Skyfighters) became one of my favorite groups in WH space.
Bunch of great dudes, always wanting to fight. WH space needs more groups like them! Sorry to see another group close it's doors. But I know these guys all have the right mindset and I'm sure most of them will remain in WH space in some fashion.

Good luck to the Rolled Out members, all of them. You guys have been absolutely awesome. You really understood that content could be generated through so many avenues and really grasped the concept of making it fun, except Winthorp (who achieved a higher level, finding infinite opportunities to upset many many many sensitive people :)
You guys were/are great friends, who I hope to share some drinks with at Eve Vegas this year, assuming you guys can make it and a few can find away to escape the penal colony. It will be great to follow the adventures of those of you that continue in wormholes and my best to you as you continue to enjoy the game. Cheers~

This is really sad news. I hope all of you find a good group to play with going forward . RoLo and Sky beforehand were my favorite group I have flown with. We had some really fun times fighting. The thing that I loved about this group is they never questioned any decision the FC made even if appeared to be suicide. They would do anything and go anywhere to get a fight and that is a FCs dream. Lets keep Rolled out public chat open.

Shelby was in Pandora! Still is in fact. Will probably end up having to drag her out.
I just wasn't comfy having her in the actual corp until she was a little less naive, vulnerable and fond of candy.

That's it. Doors are closed. Our breakup was peaceful and drama free. Some of us stayed behind for a few extra days to make sure everyone got out safely. Many of us who met in Rolled will stay in touch and fly again together in the future. Some of our AU guys went to HK, many went to null, some are forming new corps, some are free agents and some are taking breaks.
In retrospect however, what really happened was Sky and Rolled were both destroyed by people who should have moved out of Sky and gone to HK or null originally, not formed a new corp, which effectively destroyed Skyfighters and ultimately Rolled Out. Oh well, so goes Eve... |

Despite the loss of some valued members, a bunch more that did nothing but wait on pings, much of the corp wallet and the corp owned capitals, rumors of our death are greatly exaggerated. Ama, our kill numbers were good right up until the day we finally said let's close shop. Plenty of us stepped up to the plate. The bottom line was some wanted to go null, some wanted big wh fleets only HK could offer, some had RL issues kick in, others wanted smaller gang fights, and many wanted to keep it going the way it was. In the end most of us knew this and decided to break up the corp peacefully and like gentlemen. That's exactly what we did.
In my opinion, and the opinion of many I've talked to, many of us would have been better off putting two months into other corps or even staying in Skyfighters. You say that Sky was destroyed by people with polar opposite views. I say ROLO was destroyed by people with very different desires and playstyles. There was no intent to have this happen. It just did. |
