Ok picked up my Vexor last night, and what a sexy little ship she is. I've got 3 interceptor drones (drone skill only at 3) that do me just fine tucked inside of her. Problem I'm having is fitting the rest of it. I tried slapping 4 medium turrets on but unfortunately I'm still doing level 1 missions so they contstantly miss the frigates and drones i'm fighting. Right now i've got a couple smart bombs equipped and my strategy has been letting my drones fight until they get close enough, calling them to drone bay and then popping the smartbomb. I was wondering if anybody could give me some feedback as to whether or not I should fit the ship with only smartbombs, or maybe 2 small and 2 med turrets, rails or blasters etc. Again i'm only doing level 1 missions (still figuring out how to get a level 2 agent to notice i exist) so it's not that big of a priority but i'm trying to plan in advance. Thanks much "In the presence of greatness the humble can only bow." |

To use the Vexor effectively, you're got to get your drone skills up.

So you suggest just no guns? Just armor her up with some nos and webs and let the drones do the work? "In the presence of greatness the humble can only bow." |

Yea i'm definately pouring all of my training into drones right now. On a side note, is pursuing medium scout drones worth it? "In the presence of greatness the humble can only bow." |

Thats how I fly mine. Missions you can put on some blasters if you want, but if you ever PVP in it, definately just nos's and destab's, drones are you friend in a Vexor, get up those skills. ___________________

Medium drones are my choice for using, since they do alright on a webbed frigate, and do great on cruisers and up. Light drones are good if you have high drone skills, however. ___________________

Get drones to V, then Scout Drone Operation to at least IV, then Combat Drone Operation & Interfacing to at least IV, then Scout Drone Operation to V and then work on the racial drone skills. ___________________

Sounds like i'm going to be in this ship for awhile then. I'm pretty far from fitting my ship with that gear skill wise. "In the presence of greatness the humble can only bow." |

I use my Vexor to regularly take out BCs, but I've foudn the best fit to use only 800mm, not 1600mm plate. 4 mill in drones helps, too.

I generally just run 4 med NOS's; webber; t2 med armor rep; 800mm plate; and an energized adaptive nano.

my mistake, replace that cap relay with a EAN II in my setup.
and 1600mm is better :) -- New Petition Inc Vid This signature is protected by the pattented NoDev 2000 technology. THERE WILL BE NO COLORS But colors are fun!!-Kaemonn Look! Christmas colors!-ReverendM

If possible, having a remote armor repper is useful for fixing your drones on the fly...

For Pve i hardly ever fit a webber due to the fact when drones orbit a webbed frig they orbit it too fast (large transversal) and miss alot
As you are useing medium drones they will easily be able to chase down any interceptors you find on missions and kill them
Small sized guns (125mm/150mm) 1 nos AB - cap recargers Medium rep - 800mm - 2x rat specific hardeners (easily took on all lvl2 missions)

Ok here is a setup to aim for, in my humble opinion its the best setup for a vexor, it tanks very well, and deals out massive damage.
4x light neutrons II, 1x small Nos 1x AB II, 1x Web/Scram, 1 med cap injecor (800) 1x Med armor II, 1x 800mm plate, 1x EANM II, 1x MFS II/ named DC/ MFS II
And a combination of light and medium drones. You will rip a vamp vexor to shreds.

That sounds awesome. However, due to my noob brain I only understood the first half of it. My gear is pretty simple right now having just purchased the vex, using frigate model 100mm nanofiber armor plates, shield booster, afterburner etc. I'm bad with terminology could you please spell out the abbreviations i.e. EANM MFS Thanks mate "In the presence of greatness the humble can only bow." |

Ok we have the EANMII that stands for energized adaptive nano II, Then we have the named DC which stands for a named damage control and finally we have the MFS II which is a magnetic field stabalizer II.
Hope this helps,
Nagissa
