Not entirely true. All the newer parodies (Scary Movie 1-X, Superhero Movie, My wife, the Spartans and... etc etc etc) are not really politically correct. They are simply bad and unfunny to a point of being embarassing.
I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

I agree with your sentiment, but really there is nothing politically incorrect at all in "Airplane !" It's just all silly gags.
"Blazing Saddles"......now that's another story. "He has mounted his hind-legs, and blown crass vapidities through the bowel of his neck."-á - Ambrose Bierce on Oscar Wilde's Lecture in San Francisco 1882 |

You're kidding, right? Airplane is chock full of things that would make my left wing in laws choke on their unsweetened tea.
Yes, Blazing Saddles is far worse, but Airplane is not exactly wearing white to the wedding. "Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

Maybe we have differing ideas of what is politically incorrect.
Can you enlighten us folks who have watched the film over 100 times since its release, with an example of what you find politically incorrect ? Not much has been forthcoming from you in explanation.

Indeed. But that's just a matter of being offensive and "socially wrong". I don't think either side of the politically incorrect camp is going to defend pedophilia. Your definition of politically correct is rather rigid for someone who professes a philosophy of moral subjectivity.
But anyway, yes, Destination SkillQueue is correct, those are the kind of things my in laws would have a heart attack about. The "I speak Jive" scene in particular would give them apoplexy, despite the fact that the last time any of them actually saw a black man was on a highschool football field. This was a thread about a specific film, not about your idiotic ideas of "political correctness" and racism.
And now you make no sense, and have seriously stepped over the line.

I love how he deleted "black man" like it was a dirty word. Liberals are funny.
Oh, and since you specifically, in two posts no less, asked what might be found politically incorrect in the film my answer is thoroughly on topic. You don't get to redefine terms halfway through, act like you're offended and then cancel one person's participation in the discussion. Excellent! I think it's time to introduce the youngsters at my house to "Airplane!" And its cousins the "Naked Gun" movies. And let's not overlook the "Police Squad" TV series that spawned Naked Gun. "Were [sic] not your monkey and so what?"-á -The Sex Pistols (2006) |
