It looks like your having a problem with your graphics card. The GPU could be overheating so extra cooling will suffice if that's the problem. Updating the graphics driver could help. This might also be a glitch in your craphics card, if that's the case then there is not much you can do except getting a new one.

That is weird though. I don't have any problems with any other games that I have.

It does look a lot like a graphics card problem. Check that you have the most up to date drivers and that the card isn't overheating. Also make sure the card is supported. i had a similar problem with an old laptop running integrated graphics - and that only affected eve and americas army.
Any chance of getting some system specs, especially Graphics card :)

I get that from time to time when i close one of my three accounts while keeping the others running. Simply changing the resolution on all running game clients to something else and then back to normal fixes it for me though. -----

I'm just curious here...
Are video card manufacturers making hardware that has a built in lifespan nowadays (aside from becoming outdated)?
In the nearly twenty years I've been using PC's I have never once, NOT ONCE, had pretty much any piece of internal hardware go bad on me unless I wanted it to (plugging a power connector into a harddrive backwards on purpose is good stuff).
I've had a couple monitors die on me. I've had mice, keyboards, speakers, gaming controllers, and other peripherals die on me. Never once have I had a processor, memory, video card, sound card, scsi card, cdrom, or hard drive ever go bad on me and just all of a sudden stop working.
I did have a power supply go out on me, but that was actually just the fuse inside that blew, and since it was some kind of proprietary fuse (and an upgrade to power watts was in order anyway) I did buy a new power supply. I had a mainboard go bad on me when I was replacing the CPU fan on an older system. The fan was f'ing impossible to install... you had to leverage a flathead driver to get the metal clip to hook on. Well I managed to pop a couple resistors off and that was it for that.
So what's the deal? I am constantly reading in the forums how "your display card must be going bad". I'm pretty sure manufacturing processes haven't become worse than they used to be, unless they are making them with components that decay on purpose so that you are forced to buy new hardware eventually. If so, I've never heard of internal hardware manufacturers doing this, only peripheral makers like Logitech, Gravis, etc.

I know this isn't a graphics card problem. Everything else on my computer works perfectly.

I guess you are right. As crappy as it sounds. Getting a new computer or GPU would solve it. Thaks as much as I hate to accept this.

I have a Toshiba Satellite 2435-S255 with a Geforce 420 Go. Drivers on Toshibas site are old. When I use them, I have the text problem. The Acrobat reader hack doesn't fix it. I still have the same problem, but with a new looking font for the parts I can see.
I tried updating my drivers by using the drivers from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com
I tried using several different versions and series of drivers. They cause a new problem, of the entire character selection screen going blank. All you see is the background, and occasionally you see a quick glimpse of what should be displayed.
Has anybody found other ways to get the 4 series Go cards to work with Eve?

Ah that's exactly what I am getting too! I just started another thread as I didn't see this one.
It's a shame that no realistic solutions have been found though, it's certainly not a faulty card it's just some incompatibility with EVE I fear. Hopefully someone will solve it?

It has been fixed by a graphics drive download. Not to mention that is was freeAnyway, I really need to adjust the monitor.

There has been topics like these before, I see, and the problem has never been with the graphix card or one's CPU. What I have read, the problem has always been with EVE, or those flat monitors like mine. Wonder how they still haven't fixed it, though the problem is common and very old?

I despise you Kata Dakini.
In 14 years, I have had 7 hard drives (boo to Seagate, btw), 2 video cards, a CD-Rom, a CD-RW (I blame drunk people using it as a drink holder for their beers though), and 3 sticks of RAM go on me.
Then again, I stopped using Pentium chips and I haven't had any problems since then

I too have the same, no problems with any other game. I have a Toshiba SP6100, just can't see random bits of text, quite frustrating that there is no fix. Come on Eve type people, give us a fix !!!
