hey
just thought why can we not have fittings for fighters and fighter bombers??
have higher ecm caldari fighters have damage and tracking equipped skirmish fighters for taking out assault frigs and other fast orientated ships..
whole new level of customization.. whole new doctrines and counter doctrines would pop up within days
capital ship fights could get interesting.. heavy neuting drones with a flight of max dps fighters to volley through the enemy reps
would be pretty epic, imo.
what do you think????
should we have all fighters and fighter bombers be made customizable with new fighter specific modules for weapons, shield and armor upgrades, ecm and eccm, nos neuts tracking ruptors, remote armor and shield reps etc.
have them have the fitting similar to a destroyer or assault frig.. or whichever class of ship best reflects their cpu, pg hull hp etc.
if you hate the idea.. please say why.. not a simple that's stupid comment or a -1 |

Fighters are not supposed to be amazing at fighting smaller stuff. Even the gecko introduction was a very questionable decision. Carriers solo killing frigs with anti-frig fighters? Not a snowflakes chance in hell.
As for the rest of your ideas... Meeeeeehhh.. ECM fighters... Useless (or overpowered for breaking subcap tackle by ratting carriers). Nuet fighters.... Useless outside very niche WH fights.
And I for one want absolutely nothing to do with having to fit fighters. Just adds one more layer of aggravations onto using them.

A fighter that can be customized and fitted in different ways is called a frigate.
A fighter bomber that can be customized and fitted in different ways is called a Stealth Bomber. Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective.
