Greetings!
Two weeks ago I bought my first Orca, and has since spent some time mining solo with my Orca and Retriever in Hi-sec (using the Orca as storage for the Retriever). A week ago the Orca was suddenly gone from my hangar, as well as the retriever stored inside it.
After contacting support, they said:
Thank you for contacting customer support. After having reviewed your support ticket it appears that you had ejected from your Orca at an asteroid belt in the Theruesse system at 08:45 on the 30th of June. It seems that you did not board the Orca again after this event, as such it was left roaming in space until another pilot located it, and boarded the ship several hours later.
Regrettably we will be unable to intervene in this matter, as it seems that these events occurred in line with normal game play mechanics. If you have any additional matters or questions that we may be able to provide assistance in solving, please let us know."
Now, the problem here is that the systems says one thing and I know that this what NOT what happened. I know where my new and VERY expensive Orca has been at all times. Being a new player this is definitely one of the bigger milestones the first 6 month of playing, being a miner. I would never eject both ships and then return home in my pod, leaving both ships behind for someone else to pick them up.
I wrote this to support and they basically said - "sorry that is what the log shows so we can't do anything about it".
Has anyone experienced anything like this and is there anywhere I can complain about this obvious programming error and get my Orca back?

Sorry I'm seeing mining, solo, and multiple ships as a recipe for disaster. But from what you were saying is it safe to assume you actually were leaving the Orca unpiloted for any length of time? |

And in what way does this refer to my situation? Can you be more specific? |

wauw, sorry but thats a really stupid way to use an orca. 1. ur not getting any boost, just as well use a hauler and than its still stupid. 2. i could sneak up to u cloaked, jump in the orca before u can respond and warp off |

Vodka, seems you are not up-to-date on Orca mining.
1. no boost, that is correct, but a cargohold that holds 35 mill. worth of ore. No need to fly back and forth with hauler (that's just stupid if you have the Orca and skills to use it) 2. Sneak all you want. As long as the Orca is targeted, you can't take it.
You didn't know that? |

Simple work around: One pilot in an ECM boat, and one pilot capable of flying the Orca. One simply jams your lock, the other steals it. Regardless of CONCORD, say goodbye to Orca, and one very happy ship thief. Also, simply losing connection to the game for a moment will make you lose it. It only takes a few seconds to lose a ship you've abandoned.
The fact it was stolen is very fitting for the sheer stupidity you're suggesting. However, if what you said is true, that's something you'd have to speak to CCP about, though it's very possible you stored your Retriever and warped your pod back to station instead of the Orca. However, I somehow don't believe you.
For the future, Eve Online is a very harsh place, and you shouldn't ever leave a ship of yours unattended unless you intend to lose it. I've taken a few empty ships before, so don't think it won't happen to you. My apologies for being sharp, but I'm an owner of three Orcas, and I know how bloody expensive those things are. I've -never- ejected from my Orcas in space. If I ever intended to do what you're suggesting, I'd use a properly rigged/fitted industrial instead, as it doesn't matter nearly as much if you lose one of those. But with the new changes to the Retriever's cargo holds, it's easier than ever before to mine, so the excuse of needing a ship to hold ore doesn't really float anymore.
As a final note, you should probably work with others if you're going to mine; it's better to have active Orca support while mining, or you playing that role. It makes mining much faster for all involved, and there's no risk of having your ship(s) stolen. |

Even if what you say - using ECM - is possible, I would at least have lost the ship for a reason. In that case it would have been my own fault I agree, but as I have already explained I was present mining, and went back to a station with both ships - NOT in my pod!!???
Its like you didn't read my initial post Jalxan, and therefore I can't take your input serious. |

You should check your logs too. My bet is you docked the retriever and warped in pod. Walk into the club like "What up? I got a big cockpit!" |

Either someone logged in and did what the logs show (ejected the orca) - this would be very easy to trace if your account was hacked or you really ejected from the orca (even if not on purpose and need to suck it up). The information that the orca was found hours later tells me you most likely made a mistake as a hacker/thief would have acted very quickly. ''and boarded the ship several hours later. '' "This is nothing more than a rumor with no basis of fact. Hope that's enough of a confirmation for you guys. :)" Coolstorybro
