Hello there, this is my first serious post. Here is our unofficial "Little Things - Audio/Visual" thread for small improvements on aesthetics side of Eve. While there game is largely based on numbers, immersion is still an important aspect.
Please contribute, either by ideas or discussion. Thank you. |

Audio:
- Ship Ambiance - Crew talking, announces...
- More music choices for low/null/wormhole space. Many tracks can be used from highsec ones with darker tones.
Audio/Visual:
- More models: Like probes leaving launcher tubes with trails etc.
- More Station/Gate Related models: Small craft like npc fighters and civilian traffic around stations.
General:
- More little and brief space phenomena, purely cosmetic.
- A general uplift of "touristic" places, like space station wrecks with better textures/models. |

I like some of your ideas. Afaik, CCP is/was looking into adding more 'life' around stations and star gates - in fact there's a vid somewhere showing just that, stuff like scanner drones scanning passing ships, etc.. |

I love the "for null/wormhole...." suggestions. "Just for us, nobody else." As though the "smaller" demand makes something more doable.

I want all high slot modules, passive or not, to have a visual model like the salvager and tractor do. All targeted ones can have a fully articulating turret such as logi or neuts.
Passive or non-targeted modules like a cloak or a drone control unit can have "projection" structures; DCU can have a little "air traffic control tower" thing; auto targeter can have a sweeping little radar dish (similar to ones on the cata, naga, tempest); all "mode" highs need an animation (I'm looking at you triage); smart bombs have epic potential here; probe launcher can have all the probes loaded into it like a missile array
I want the neut and logi models to reflect their size and I want the T2 logi cruisers remodeled similarly to how the bombers were to accommodate the large "turrets" being fitted to them. Carriers will prob need some touching up to accommodate the capital sized "turrets" for logi.
No other ships need any work because all highslots already have a "hardpoint" because of the turret rework that's been maintained since Incarna.
Also hopefully this solves some of the asymmetry some ships have in their guns.
P.S. Cynos and Bridges have some epic potential here. The Drake is a Lie |

Two major flaws, one actually being a nerf and loss of quality.
1. Minmatar stations are still horrible to be in and listen. 2. The female in gallente stations isn't sounding seductive anymore and she doesn't moan anymore either!
WTF CCP why do you ruin it for everybody, just because of the few dried out asexuals? It's funny how she changed her mains portrait,-ábecause all her alts look pretty much like her. Took her a long while to finally realize.-á(: -álol Phantomime.

Small visual edit: remove smoke from missiles (was never good to be implemented). And also reduce other smoke features, If you have to show or visualize smoke and flames have them implode and dissipate.
Would very much appreciate that.
And regarding this thread, I support a single section collections, like small visual changes, mining suggestions, fleet issues etc. Keeps the forum more organized, cleaner and things easier to find and refer to.
Are you sure your issues aren't elsewhere ?! |

1) Audio - allow selection of main audio device, as you can for 'chat'.
2) Cache user settings per account.
Running multiple monitors with different resolutions can be a bit tricky and it would be good to get the sound for each client coming out of the monitor it's on. |
