hi,
I used to play between 2009-2011, I gave up my accounts and they was sold by a relative who continued to play to this day.
I have returned as my circumstances have changed. I wont bore you with the finer details!
alas on my return i noticed some alarming changes;
for instance to buy a game time card it cost 350mil now you can get 1.6bil and increasing each day for just -ú20. this means any kid with some pocket money now has the choice of simply buying a capital or even super cap if they saved enough.
I also noticed the prices of items have sky rocketed, such as the domi, used to be 63mil and insurance covered this nicely, now, the insurance covers about 40% of what we are currently paying and the build cost in terms of minerals hasn't changed.
lastly but most important thing ive noticed, there is no longer a lot of smaller alliances fighting for space, its not dominated by alliances over 10,000 members and formed coalitions. giving no room for anyone new to move to null sec. this has been recently witnessed by PL being dominated trying to own a small piece of space.
so as the population increases, in an ever smaller eve world. how do we resolve these issues?
well i think we have to expand the eve world, but simply, expanding wont help, as the existing dominating alliances will simply take it too and grow even bigger... so how do we stop this? Id like to share ideas to help get the eve developers thinking but share ideas?
So heres my idea; you increase the eve world, but have systems that are restricted to specific ships. such as no super caps, this would give new alliances a fighting chance to hold a null sec system without worrying about 250 super caps jumping in and one shooting everything insight. we have empire that is restricted to capitals? why not be a bit more inventive with it? create another layer of eve were there are no super caps allowed.

Wow, someone who doesn't get that buying a char and a carrier doesn't mean they actually know how to use them properly.
So let them buy it... it's a glorious killmail! It's funny how she changed her mains portrait,-ábecause all her alts look pretty much like her. Took her a long while to finally realize.-á(: -álol Phantomime.

We do not "resolve" these issues at all. These issues are inherent to game design and human nature. There is nothing to resolve, this is still the game you enjoyed playing, and what you enjoyed about it, turned it into it's current state. Paradoxal, isn't it? |

SCaps are "so yesterday"... it's all about piratey goodness these days and the new pirate ships -- which won't cost you 5 years to skill into.

Well, it probably didn't help that your first two points were "PLEX are twice the amount of isk, players can buy ships easier!", and "Ships cost twice the amount of isk, its harder for players to buy ships!" (Take a second. Think about it).
And then you followed it up by "the alliance that owns a quarter of Nullsec, and who is closely allied to the Alliance that owns a second quarter can't even get a tiny bit of space for itself". |

Not anymore they dont!
But no seriously, the number of titans/supers that have died this year alone, if im not mistaken, is enough statistically, that we may as well have never had titans or supers die before. Like, B-R hit, then it was just titan-down titan-down titan-down every other day, like geeze. |

Prefacing your whole idea with the fact that you did account sharing and RMT is going to put a pretty bad spin on even the best ideas.
And yet I'd still bet a lot of money that the number of titans and supers in Eve has kept climbing this year, despite the sporadic losses with the occasion large 'whoopsee' |

Eve is evolving, not dying.
Some changes are good some are bad.
Look at the human race.. evolved from monkeys..... on the one hand we have Claudia Schiffer, and on the other hand we have frat boys.
Not all evolution works for the better, but when it does it's spectacular |

I'd like to point out the cost of building a domi HAS in fact increased with the ISK value and the reason the insurance doesn't reflect this properly is because of the "Extra Materials" on the BP don't get counted as part of the mineral value.
Thankfully, this is all going away in Crius. Since ship and module reprocessing is gonna be terrible as compared to today's numbers the devs will no longer need to put in "extra materials" if they wanna change the build cost without giving people who built the ships prior to a change free minerals from reprocessing it after a change.
And with the removal of extra materials even T2 ships should see an increase in insurance value (for instance a vaga would at LEAST consider the T2 materials the RAMs and the Stabber used to build it now). The Drake is a Lie |

Good Evening,
A good bit of this thread, relates to highly discussed topics(almost to death and over especially RE: Plex/null sec is dead)
Psst, wormholes are lovely areas where you don't have super drops going on.
I'll be locking this for reasons as follows.
Quote:16. Redundant and re-posted threads will be locked.
As a courtesy to other forum users, please search to see if there is a thread already open on the topic you wish to discuss. If so, please place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forums needlessly, causing good feedback and ideas to be lost. Please keep discussions regarding a topic to a single thread.
