Some of you may know Worm as "Worm_Labs" on the EVE subreddit.
Mr. Worm_Labs and his buddy DreadlordTrevor decided to run "ye old corp theft" on The Night Crew [TNC] 2 nights ago. I'm especially disappointed because he was about to do some graphics for me, then robbed us for 45 bil in modules.
I will upload screenshots in a bit, once the person that had the convo with those guys about it logs in. The most disappointing part - they did it not because we were mean to them, or gave them a hard time, or because they were mad at us, but because they had never experienced it before. Here's to hoping they find out why most people use alts for such **** baggery.
Here's a list of his toons :
Yummy Worm Gummy Worm Scummy Worm Little Oral Annie Chummy Worm
Any toon in Sleeping Giants [SLPGN] is his as well.
Here's his little buddy :
DreadLordTrevor Han Soleo Chelien
Beside, can you really trust a person that let's his girlfriend **** in his hand?

Don't forget Dummy Worm. And I'm offended that you mention the subreddit user, Dread's little figure, (he has been eating more healthy,) but you wouldn't link my site for a bit of exposure. Wormlabs.com! But on a serious note, yup the theft was merely driven by curiosity and really the fact that this is a video game, a place where we can do things like this and while the preparations were so much fun and exciting, the actual event was so adrenaline charged that it was incredibly unsettling. It was an out of body experience, that's for sure. As the days go on things get easier to digest, and perhaps posts like this will become more and more tantalizing. I'd get them all out now while were still in the wake of immense disbelief that we pulled it off. After awhile it just may not even resonate with us. But you're right. You guys were all great, and we still keep in touch with several of you. Fly safe, and I hope this content brings your alliance together to revive things. |

Congratulations;
You all dooped abunch of guys in a close-knit group who, over the past ten months or so, thought they had made some long-lasting bonds of friendship with you. Alot of hours of hanging out; talking about family, work and day to day things.
A videogame? It certainly is, just like it was a videogame when Smeg took some stuff from you guys and that tore you up inside for months. Now multiply that by quite abit; and realise that you threw Ganja under the bus when you did it; whom you knew longer than us and still took his stuff aswell. No one's mad, it's just a lot of disappointment; especially from the guys who you tried to bring into the WH to steal their stuff after they logged out for the night.
In the end, you guys didn't do anything special, it took no skill other than striping ships of modules, loading up two orcas and leaving when no one was around. The only thing you achieved was taking advantage of alot of guys who enjoyed hanging out with you and thought they could put the most valuable commodity in; trust.
We've moved on, this thread was just to let the EVE Community know that you're thieves who had no reason to do what you did other than 'because you could'. Congratulations on burning your main toons, I'm sure you took enough to buy some new ones though. =] |

I love this. Creating content is the name of the game.
"Just because I could..." is why people climb into titans; form corps; suicide gank; and steal. It's possibly why a gal decides to drop a deuce into her boyfriend's nose or whatever you said.

Eloquent, well thought out, accurate, realistic, mature, justifiable, and completely rational point of view you've expressed here.
But I suspect this thread will only serve as bragging rights and epeen enhancement for your former friends. |

EVE Online is a great game because it allows for endless possibilities. For the sandbox to be as vibrant as can be, there needs to be minimal rules. Because of that, everything from the kindest of acts to the most evil of sins can occur and should not result in any actual action taken against the players.
To use this however as a moral justification for one's actions is quite a stretch. The game affords you the freedom to do almost whatever you want; that doesn't mean you aren't a terrible person for doing it.
I cannot and will not judge any individual without actually knowing what truly happened, so take this as a more general statement brought forth by the contents of the thread: Joining a guild in a game, becoming close, tight and friends with the members for several months or years, only to scam them purely for personal enjoyment is a douchebag move and something only a terrible person would be willing to do.
Again, I am not saying that means the game should change. It shouldn't. People just need to accept that they aren't morally justified when they do such things. Do it, accept you're a bad human being, and move on. New Fitting Window | Distances above 10km | Maximums for buy orders |

Ships, modules, rigs, books.
We didn't mention this prior, and actually TNC has no idea about this but we actually robbed another corp that night too for about 10 billion. Their loot was mostly blueprints and modules. Selling those is proving tedious and time consuming though. When those guys come back from being inactive they're going to be a bit upset.

Also of note; and what bothers us more than the theft by a large margin; they destroyed the rigs of every ship they jumped in to strip of it's modules. Effectively making our ships unviable until all the rigs are replaced.(And they since stole all the rigs we had in the system...)
Stealing, it happens; even if you did it to people who had alot of respect for you as a person and as friends; but popping everyone's rigs and making their ships not viable until we had a route from WH space to replace them; thats just adding insult to injury.
If we were mean to either of you guys on any level; I could understand the theft and giving individual pilots the grief of destroyed rigs, but wow. Just shows how low you're willing to go against your (former) friends; and with no reason. |

There's a lot of creative nasty and sinister things you can do in EVE... but.. establishing friendships just to betray them will never be high on my list of admiration, because it's nothing to do with any gameplay mechanics of EVE as a game at all, it's just you being an idiot in general, it can be done in any game or situation that involves interaction between people and it's really low just the same.
With that said, I'm certain the guilty persons had a very hard time keeping his epeens under control, finding a totally badass thread about themselves like this. It's alright though, forum threads are archived for many years, so might prove useful to some sooner or later. |

Yeah, I decided not to do an actual post about it on here or on r/. Once the afterglow faded that adrenaline charged unsettling feeling kind of went away and we didn't think any sort of story was really needed. A couple of people know the in and out of things, you included, but there's no reason to rub noses in it. What we set out to do we did, and we know why they're posting on r/ and the forums about this. They know that people will applaud us for the theft. They're not trying to shame us and get us to feel remorse and apologetic about things. They don't care what we have to say, and shouldn't really. It's best to just move on. They are putting this theft in permanent ink with our names attached to it so that at no point in time our characters can be separate from the action. And that's fine by us. We knew the consequences before we stripped and de-rigged that first ship. |

Destroying the rigs on the ships was simply to buy us more time in case someone logged on in the middle of it all. It was a jerk move for sure, but that was the reason behind that decision. |

Okay, I've not been around Eve much for the past year, until recently. Think you so very much for this thread. Not only did you give me an okay story about a pretty decent theft (for two guys), but holy **** that Reddit AMA and original story...THAT is what the internet in all about. So, thank you Baldari for the info, and Worm...no words bro...no words. You won the internet. |
