Best issue yet. The chronicles were both awesome, good work guys. The skills guide was a bit of a handful to get organised and ready for printing but the piracy guide was great to work with. Not to overshadow Tripoli's definitive guide to skills and attributes for beginners, which was very informative and helped me plan a mining alt of mine, Verone's piracy guide was without a doubt the best guide to date, including my own Tanking guide in issue 2.
I am very excited about careers. I saw mention of semi-random complex spawns, ship salvaging and others. I hope they finally expand hacking and archeology not only into a further subtree of skills with new uses but also into the game environment. Hacking deadspace gates to get to bonus levels on missions/complexes? Doing archeology on the destroyed ruins in a complex to find something rare? Anything's possible, I just really can't wait to see.
And already I have Zap breathing down my neck for guides for issue 5 ^^;.
EDIT: Oh **** yes, I almost forgot the map. Awesome map. I am thinking of getting a chipboard thing mounted on my wall and stick it to that, then using colour-coded push-pins to designate important places, even leave little notes on them. At a glance, it will be useful. No more "Where's Delekin? *f10* *wait forever for the map to load*". \o/
Originally by: Unholy Preacher I love EON#4 i became so YARRRRRRR ! First time buying an issue and i love it, the pictures and colours of the magazine are sooo purtttttty
in all seriousness, how do we submit articles for review to be published in EON ?
Right there on the first page, you can email [email protected] with ideas for articles. If it's for an insider's guide, kind of a definitive guide to something in eve, you would be best emailing me about that though since you'll just get referred to me anyway. I can be found at [email protected]

Got mine Monday (east coast, usa). Another great one, haven’t yet been really disappointed with any of the issues. I really love the history of eve. I've been playing since right before launch, but even then there's a lot to the story of eve that I just missed. Great work to everyone involved! I cant wait to get another year subscription ;)
Ohh yea, and I want Caiman's button up shirt, so I can wear it around work and not get in trouble. ;)

Poster is awesome! I really had doubts about making a poster with the EVEverse on the back, but you managed it quite well!

It seems that folks on the US west coast & Canada, and many east coast locations have gotten theirs...
... I'm dead smack in the middle of the country and have not seen a hint of mine yet. :( Any info on such mailing?

I went to re-subscribe but it says "starts with issue #4". Does this mean I will receive another #4 and then #5, #6, #7 but no #8?
Should I wait a bit? -omg-

Yes, please, unless you want another #4, please wait until the site is updated before you re-subscribe. If you started with #1, wait until you can subscribe from #5.
The site should be updated over the next couple of weeks. Don't worry, there'll be some kind of announcement before then, a Dev Blog most likely, no-one will miss out.

Another satisfied customer here. Chilling ending to Istvaan's story, and really neat to see a bookend to theHerko Kerghans piece from a prior issue.
Excellent articles, interviews.
My only gripe is that occasionally some of the fonts get almost to small for post-puberty eyes to read easily. -small nit.
It was a nice surprise to see a bit of Biff Steel and company's Darwin project there. ----- ------------

They got their history wrong. Setenta was never part of the old CC. They were either in empire or on their way to Stain.

Edited by: Cell Satimo on 19/07/2006 10:25:05 EON 4 just arrived today 19th July (I'm in Europe).
I gotta say, when I first subscribed for all 4 issues, I did it because it would be *nice* to see a game mag. Now, specially with the level EON#4 has risen to, I could devour it bi-monthly.
Highlights for EON# IMO were: - History of Eve Part II - Darwin's Contraption - Touched by the hand of MOD - Insider's guide to Piracy
And for the ads, the more services! - Eve Underground Radio - EveTrack - Eve Strategic Maps
Edit: Bring on the subscription for #5 to #8 already.
