I have met quite a few other ladies so far, most of them dutch like me. The ladies groups are mostly closed as far as I understood. Mainly to make sure no guys in skirts enter their clubs. Generally it seems the behavior toward the ladies is very civil. It gets as polite or rough as the lady herself dictates it to be. That to me makes it not needed to hide myself in girlgroups.

I treat everybody the same.. female or male doesnt matter. Its a game.
And thats how it should be. Specially since we had this little ism situation where us girls demanded eqaulity.
Reason I said that by the way is cause some games are famous for the way in wich girls get constant dating requests and foul adult language. I havent heard much about that happening in Eve without the lady herself being an active part of such behavior or language.

I think the community is pretty grown up... since this game actually allows you to have a job and play it at the same time, without getting left behind too much. Offline training is fantastic.
That indeed makes gaming more easy for people with jobs or even for mothers with jobs and kids (yeah they are in Eve). Personally I also think the fact that much goes as long as its ingame and with use of normal game mechanics, kinda helps attract an adult group. Not being treated like a little kid that needs protection against all kinds of things is still one of the best things about Eve in my opinion.

Originally by: Defiant Mayhem There are Womens in Eve. And the Easter Bunny is real, and Santa Clause, and an honest politician, and .... I don't know why so many people claim to be something (most commonly women) over the internet. Hell, if i was going to claim too be something it wouldn't be a lame woman. I would claim to be the real power behind Microsoft, or the emperor of the moon.
Ofcourse some guys claim to be women. There is by the way a better reason for having a female char. As my boyfriend says ... Gotta look at it , better make it look good. But us girls are here and we have been in online games for quite a while now.

Yeah, I was one of the commodore geeks myself.
I think one of the best things about computer games compared to TV is that you escape alot of the "you must look a certain way" issues that comes from watching TV and reading female magazines. Nobody feels good when they obsess about their looks. When you play games you are focusing on other things and I think its much more healthy to young kids compared to TV. It develops your brain too according to scientific studies...
But as always, finding a balance between life/TV/games/etc is always good.
You have a good point there
