There was a switch in 3rd party installer software. You most likely now have two versions installed. Uninstall the 1.32 version and reinstall the 1.33 and everything will be fine.
Ahhh, sorted, thanks for the quick reply. |

I just downloaded and installed version 1.33 (Windows 64 bit) and it looks interesting, but I am having a problem with the "Active Tasks" popup hanging while importing items.
I clicked "Import all" and the tasks cycled through fetching characters, wallet journals, market orders, transactions, assets, contracts. contract items, and finally "Saving 8016 imported orders..." There it stops, with progress bar at 98%, for hours. I can find no way to cancel the operation, other than ending the Evernus task. When I re-start Evernus everything seems to function until I try to "Import all" again.
Is this a known issue or am I special?

Unfortunately, you seem to be special. Saving 8k orders should take few seconds. Can you check on another character?

Version 1.34 is here. ItGÇÖs the first version which takes advantage of new update process on Windows. You shouldnGÇÖt be required anymore to download full installation package. Instead, you will be prompted for upgrade, which should seamlessly update the application. You can also manually launch the setup and update all packages.
Changes:
- [new] character/corporation tab toggle shortcuts in view menu
- [new] price filters in Market Analysis
- [new] new database migration system for better update experience (also fixes a bug with updates and synchronization)
- [fixed] unneeded whitespace after the last column when copying data from Market Analysis
- [changed] initial CREST import performance improvements
- [changed] layout improvements in Market Analysis
- [changed] Galatea database

I tried updating it with the new package updater when prompted at startup. That didn't work. It gave me an error of
"The program can't start because MSVCP120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
So I uninstalled the program via control panel. I redownloaded it from the website and reinstalled it. No dice, same error given.
Thoughts and solutions? |

Ok, let's debug the issue.
- Make sure you are using the correct "export" button in eve - the one for market orders, not your orders.
- Make sure the path to the logs is correct.
- When the margin tool is closed, export some logs from eve and verify they appear in the directory.
- In the path preferences, make sure the log wildcard matches the name of the log files.

Ah crap, I told you the wrong setting. Revert the wildcard - it will never import, if you set it this way. Other thing - don't the logs have the .txt extension?

First of all I want to thank you for this tool and the effort you are putting in it!
I'd like to use it extensively for my trading activities, but I encountered some bumps, which keep me from using it really. The problem I encountered is, that Evemus in comparison to the outdated Evementat seems not to pull the prices correctly for my corporate orders and my assets.
Funny thing is, for let's say 2 of my 20 orders it displays a correct price, for the others not. Did I miss some option where to set the price range the program uses? In the market viewer all prices are listed correctly if I select an item I have a sell order for but when switching to the orders tab there is only shown "No Price data".
As mentioned, using the orders tab in the old Eve-Mentat program works fine and all prices and differences are shown correctly, so I am assuming I am missing something on Evemus...
Additionally I think defining the self-cost for items on a manual basis is not a viable option when exceeding a certain number of orders, because it's simply too much work with prices changing all the time. In my opinion it would be a great benefit to the tool if something like the blueprint calculator as in "Eve-HQ" or "Eve is per hour" would be implemented to do the calc work depending on skills, implants and market prices for the raw materials as well as the costs for the manufacturing process itself.

No price data means there is no competitor price data imported. Did you use web import (CREST)?

You can turn on automatic cost adding on every fulfilled buy order. I had no plans for any manufacturing features, but those seem to be requested. The problem is - I have no industrial character to test it properly atm.

Yes I did. And there are competitors but not in the same system. So I assume it is only listed if you have competition in the same system? Is there any way to select the range competitors are regarded?

Ok, my personal problem is: I don't use buy orders, I am only insta-buying stuff and putting up sell orders for the produced things.
Regarding the manufacturing and researching stuff: I can see why you wouldn't include too much stuff and think that is a good one but regarding trade, the manufacturing and/or research costs are a very important factor. They may be unimportant to station traders, but in the usual trading business they are crucial (obviously). The only way to come around implementing this (other than saying: no ;)) would be to use the imported prices as "default" prices with the option to change them manually. But as mentioned above I am currently struggling with seeing prices for my market orders and therefore for the moment can't rely on your program - despite I would like it as the sole solution for finances ingame.
But currently it is like this for me:
Eve-Mentat : Using the transaction and corporate orders tab => Prices in orders tab correctly imported, nice overview in transactions
Eve-HQ : Only using Prism - especially the blueprint calculator because it "knows" which BPs I have with which values and displays correct market prices for materials by using eve-central
Eve is per hour : Using this sometimes for production needs. The BP calc is a bit faulty esp. regarding Invention but mining and production calc is fine.
I don't know if I am the only one with this price import problem but this is the most important reason I am not using Evemus on a regular basis. The Self-Cost and production features would be "nice to have" but most importantly the financial things should be working. Displaying some kind of graph would be a nice addition in the future to have an overview at a glance how trading activties go. (compareable with above mentioned Eve-Mentat or the long ago popular tool Eve Trader - don't know if you know the latter).
Sorry if there are many comparisons with either old or currently active programs by other devs, but I think one hasn't to reinvent all features if they worked in other tools, "just" use/implement them. Currently I have the above three programs running plus Evemus now and then and am constantly asking myself, why there can't be one program that does all the things nicely and reliable. Would be very nice if your program would be "the One" ;)
Please let me and perhaps the whole community know how to support you - either financially or by programing skills and so on. I am sure there are many talented ppl here which would lend you a hand. Thanks for your time and effort again. |

That depends on the type of order. If there are buy orders within range that outbid you, Evernus takes care of that. Sell orders are checked only for current station. I don't know how mentat does this, but if they don't take proper range into account - it's pretty dumb, since it could be manipulated really easily. Other thing is - sometimes unusual range settings might be desirable, as I understand your case. I think it has more downsides than benefits, but it can be easily added.
Connor McLeod wrote:Ok, my personal problem is: I don't use buy orders, I am only insta-buying stuff and putting up sell orders for the produced things.
Well, auto adding costs would treat those as completed buy orders anyway, but that's not your use case. I'll think about how this could be done.
Connor McLeod wrote:Displaying some kind of graph would be a nice addition in the future to have an overview at a glance how trading activties go. (compareable with above mentioned Eve-Mentat or the long ago popular tool Eve Trader - don't know if you know the latter).
You have those in the statistics tab, along with the possibility of defining custom reports (+ scripting support).

That's the general idea. I don't think I'll be able to include everything you wish in the next version (especially the industry things), but I'll try.

Just explaining my view with an example: I want to sell a bunch of Afterburners in my station, so I have a look at the market and take systems up to 3-4 jumps into account when calculating my sell price. If someone in my station wants to buy an afterburner he/she will have a look at these systems too and perhaps do some jumps to get a better price for the stuff. Systems further away don't usually concern me except I sell extremely expensive things, because for these ppl are willing to travel more far to spare some money. The bottomline would be: I need to be able to adjust the range, sell orders are looked at by the program in comparison to my own but they don't neccessarily have to be the same range all the time.
Pete Butcher wrote: You have those in the statistics tab, along with the possibility of defining custom reports (+ scripting support).
Oh yes, wrong one by me, sorry.
Pete Butcher wrote:

Thanks in advance for considering these at least.
I do have an industry character (obviously) but am not much in T2+ production. I gladly help out but I think for extensive testing a more advanced industry char would be more beneficial than mine. Some iskies will go on their way soon.

Now that's something new. Quick workaround:
- Open regedit.exe
- Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\evernus.com\Evernus\regionTypeSelect
- Remove "types" key.

The problem seem to related to the fact that there are some categories there without any actual item types.
