Saedi R'tha wrote:I understand that CCP doesn't provide a way to update buy order pricing for citadels via the API but I've been poking around trying to find a manual alternative. I was hoping you could provide some clarification on a few points as the documentation is a little light:
1. Import Citadels - what exactly does this do? Nothing seems to happen when I "Import Citadels."
2. In the buy/sell order tab there is an option to import prices from logs. I've tried exported both Market Order logs as well as individual Item logs from the market but it doesn't seem to update any prices.
(On a side note: I'd just like to say thanks for the effort you put into building and supporting Evernus. I'm a space-poor starting trader, but will happily throw a plex your way once I've established some real capital)
1. It tries to import known citadels from a 3rd party service, to show them as locations. 2. Don't confuse you orders with prices. If you import only your orders, you won't see any competing prices. You need to import them as well through ESI, Market Analysis, logs (but market ones, not order ones) or via the margin tool. Also note that citadel support is not really there on Eve side, so you will most likely get only a part of the real data.

I'm not importing Corporation Orders, I'm exporting all orders from the market order screen in Eve but it seems Evernus doesn't parse the data because I click "Import Prices -> Import Prices from Logs" and nothing happens. I've tried this with both the Citadel and normal Station orders. |

Looks like your database got corrupted. You need to remove it and the application will create a new one.

Came here looking for some answers.. Sounds like what I suspected may be the issue. Windows 7 64bit gives me "fail to write data" 32bit seems flakey in pulling data.
I do not get an error, but the asset list will not update sometimes for a day.
Also Antibiotics will not update price status. I have tried the margin tool, file import, and margin tool. |

Hi,
Question:
- Is the 30 day volume region wise and does it include Citadel data? - Any work around for 'unable to write error'? I noticed if I query a big chunk of data, I get that error, but if it's very specific/smaller amount, it works.
Thanks!

The volume is region-wide unless you also specify a solar system filter. As for the Citadels - only the orders returned by the server are available, and Eve doesn't share citadel data.
As for the "Write error" - it's CREST not working. There's an experimental ESI version, and the upcoming one will use ESI by default. Unfortunately. ESI also throws a lot of errors, but that's something CCP has to fix.

Hi, Thanks, Yes ESI version is giving data, but man, that's SO slow :(.
Anyone checked the older versions to see if Crest was working fine on it?

It's a server-side issue, so switching versions won't help

I'm having problems with the market analysis tool. Whenever I click on the 'import data' button and select my region/item type, it just continues running, and fills up with lots of 'unable to write' messages.

I'm curious if someone might be able to tell me what I'm doing wrong attempting to set up the Market Analysis section of Evernus. Even after setting up the market analysis tool I'm not receiving any data. I'm curious if I'm just being a dunce and forgetting something.
Image of my setup: http://pasteboard.co/HCggF7szI.png
I've imported market data using the Import data button and selected a source and destination. I've also made sure to define a my source as a "buy" and my destination as a "sell". I've removed volume and margin filters to be sure I get some sort of result but even then I'm receiving nothing. I've made sure to download the experimental build that solves the "Unable to write" error, but I'm not sure if this problem is user error or an actual defect. |

Hi, just read the last 4-5 pages.
Tl;drf Current data source is Crest, which is giving error. There's a link to download a beta version which is based on ESI datasource, which is less buggy, and is working for me. |

When you import data, does the request counter show more than 0 requests? If yes, then try to remove any filters and see if there's data.

I'm getting an Active Tasks window that shows the remaining history server replies and order server replies based on the region I've chosen to import data from. After I've imported that data I've made sure to remove any filters such as volume, margin, buy price, etc. Even after that I'm not seeing any results. Is there another place outside of the Market Analysis tab where I'd find a request counter configuration?
I should mention I am using the experimental .exe mentioned earlier. The Active Tasks import window mentions gathering information from ESI. |

Pete Butcher , thanks for the app.
I've just started using it and have a small problem (or misunderstanding). I'm using the "Import prices from the Web" option on the "Assets" tab but I'm seeing quite a lot of items that still have a "Local unit sell price" of zero after downloading from the servers.
In preferences I have set "Import -> Source -> Web Importer" to 'Eve-Central'", and I have reduced the number of CREST requests to 20 on the "Network" page (after reading the preceeding posts here).
When I run the import, I get the message "CREST import: waiting for XX server replies."
Where XX = 1300+ servers and counts down over time. At the end of the import, the message changes to "Imported X orders" where X was around 49900 when I downloaded a few minutes ago.
Any advice on this would be much appreciated.
Cheers, Nap |

ATM - no. Only the Margin Tool has that capability.
Fun fact: the software is so damn advanced right now, I really couldn't tell without looking through the code.

With the 1.48 update, has anything changed with the "Import Prices" functionality of the Orders tab(s)?
I'm used to using the FPC feature by exporting my various character orders within EVE, importing these into Evernus with "File Import", then using "Import Prices -> From Web" to set up FPC to see the differences between my latest orders the latest market orders. Then the FPC hotkey lets me paste an updated price into EVE.
Using this same flow today, none of the orders have any market prices imported. Evernus sees each of my own orders' prices, but not the updated market prices; none of my overbid orders are highlighted in red backgrounds, for instance.
I had been fiddling with the "default custom station" setting (since turned off), and I'm worried I mistakenly screwed something up. |
