Is there a list or does anyone know of certain missions that seem to spawn rich single or groups of Omber 'riods?
Also previously in a mission I was added to after the fact it had multiple Omber 'roids (like 400,000) worth which after a DT still were present and we were able to mine.
Now last night I got a mission that had one 50,000 Omber 'riod I got two cycles before DT, but when I came back after DT all the 'riods were gone! 
Is this a change, something I did, or just random/dependant on the mission I had it was a 1 or 3 mission.
I'm a 'carebear' empire miner so getting these 50K 'riods can be very lucrative for me. Any assistance would be appreciated.

looks around huamn cattle or unathourised military presense ( i do believe it was 400k but it looks like CCP nerfed it to 50k via a hotfix a few days ago) thta said the fact that players have to turn to the mission roids to get good roids indicates the extent macro miners and ISK farming gangs have depleted empire.
Its a good thing so to get the good stuff the ISK farmers might have to switch over to mission running but hey if its there use it while u can

Oh damn :( so no more 400K missions ... damn-it.
Yeah macro f4rmers in high sec, ganking pirates in low sec ... it's a win win for someone .... just no me.
So the hotfix caused it to disapear at DT as well? You think?

me and corp mates have been making use of these missions ourselves and yeah using a roid scanner the roids have dropped from 400k down to 50k each so id say CCP has made a slight downwards adjust ment in the amount of ore in them. Guess u can still do it but u need more of hte mission to make use of it (with a largeish corp thast nots so much of a problem) its probably a good balance tho will increase supply but not to much.

do you realize that if someone assembles such list and posts it on the official forums, next patch all of those missions will get nerfed?
though maybe that's what you're after.

Weren't those asteroids always at 50k and then there were 8 of them? (8 x 50k = 400k)

I should note I'm in Khanid region and Level 2 Agent missions.
If you'd completed the mission objective, then nothing will respawn, whether or not you formally complete the mission with the agent. Is that what you'd done? ...usually, this means leaving at least one ship alive, so they'll all respawn the next DT, along with the asteroids.
Otherwise, there does seem to have been a change.

You're completely taking advantage of your new posting alt, aren't you?
For the record, anybody who can solo L4's, but can't fly at least a covetor loses money by mining the omber. I have corpmate recycle for me and fly up to a retriever and don't make as much mining as I do missioning. Calling for a nerf is bogus.

I just a single omber roid in a lvl3 Tech Secrets (1 of 3). Was rather small though.

Apparently on LVL 3 "The Rogue Slave Trader (2 of 2)" first area there are 8 x 50k omber roids. If you don't complete the second stage of the mission roids will spawn after DT (I believe the rats respawn as well, so don't go in there with your retriever without checking first). I will be checking this out tonight.

EEK!! It seems the rats respawn... My retriever won't hold out if a cruiser spawns! We'll see if a one spawns, only frigs so far.

Please don't talk about this here. Everytime someone talks about something good, someone yells exploit and it gets nerfed. Find another mission runner to ask...in game.

Yesterday after the mission I had mined the omber rocks a little bit and the mission rats didn't respawn, only the normal belt rats appearing in any other belt of the system too.

This thread was a nice list of the missions with omber roids. Just do yourself a favor and ignor all the flame-bait in it by Shadarles. Self-proclaimed wanna-be math whizzes is one thing I can certainly do without.

What sec are you in? Roid mining (ANYWHERE, even in missions) triggers a rat spawn as though you were in a belt, appropriate for your sec. To be totally safe, you need the mission in 0.9-1.0. If you were in high sec, you shouldn't get cruisers at all...

Naw, they respawned, so did the mission rats. Just clear them out and mine away. Everything looks fine to me.

This is so true...
So why make that post just to bump it back to the top where it's more likely to be noticed?
I doubt it would be nerfed, as the ore isn't all that special and choosing to leave the mission open and mine it has negative aspects to it, like forfeiting your time bonus and the ability to run a new mission for that agent until you've closed out the mining mission.

Only if you complete the kill objective. If you don't do that (leave something alive that needs to be dead) ... they'll all be back.

Hockston, I am still here and I still say mining omber is a waste of time if you can handle the level 3 mission itself. But if you're ONLY a miner it's obviously better to mine omber than it is to mine some crappy Pyroxes or some such, assuming a friend opens the mission up to you.
