When did this happen? I had just gone over my agent info literally 24 hours ago. Now everything is blanked out.
Eve search is down. Anyone got a link to a dev blog or similar info on this situation?

All but like 2 BPO's are now exausted. I just got my research agent today, bring her up to set destintaion and boom, nothing predictable  . It'll be this way until CCP decides to re-seed some of the BPO's

Boy, do I feel like the fool.
Setup my attributes to be an R&D character and have over half my meager skillpoints are dedicated to R&D.

The autumn with new and more T2 stuff will come soon enough.
It sounds as if the mini-professions will bring some exploration, salvaging, mining, mortuary ship types. And maybe a couple other things too.

Here I looked through the R&D agents yesterday and decided which field I am gonna research. Had one R&D agent running already and went through 40m (for the Reserach Project Management skill) and 10 days of bringing research & laboratory op to 5 ...
... and now ... "nothing easily predictable" :(

I will believe that when I see it. They love their COSMOS piece collection too much to make it easily based on RPs.
That would mean RP usage is a double edged sword: short term gain through invention (however that will look like) or saving up the RP for the old way ... our favorite lotter :)

It's not that I expect that I'll be guaranteed a BPO. It's just that there is now ZERO chance of getting one immediately after I spent the majority of the time I've been in game training.
I have 4.5M SP and of those 3.2M of them are in learning and science.
The skills aren't wasted, but this was the original focus when I built this character.
This would be like training for dread for 4 months only to have them remove them from the game.

This would be like making a very high Willpower character only to have CCP reverse the primary attribute on skills from Willpower to Perception ... Oh wait they did do that!
This would be like putting out a Jump Drive skill and training it a full year before any ship was out that needed the skill ... Oh wait they did that too!
This would be like training skills to level 5 to only have CCP introduce new skills that made my current skill level SUCK and I have to train another 3 months to get back to where I was before! Oh wait they did that too!
This would be like getting a T2 bpo for a very good item, but then having CCP put out a patch that made the T2 item next to useless! Oh wait that has happened to me too!
Grrr ... I feel your pain!

Seems kinda f***ed up that they would release ALL the remaining BPOs in 24 hours...

They seed a few, those get released. They seed a few more, they get released.
In short, we're in between a release and seed cycle. I'm sure more BPOs will show up in a month or two.
Running research agents should be considered a long term investment. You're NOT going to get immediate gratification!

Keep cool guys... Eve is not all about waiting for the T2 lottery to award you the WTFPWN BPo. A lot of people have some R&D in progress, a lot of people never had a single offer, and a lot of people are quiet about it. they just enjoy the other parts of the game while waiting...
I've got around 758 days of R&D in graviton, not a single offer from any of my 5 agents, and I don't care :p Most of the skills I trained for R&D proved to be valuable for something else.
Had "nothing easily predictable" on some fields i'm working on for around 1.5 year BTW :p
Also had a lot of friends getting some BPos (hint hint : CoE is selling Lachesis, contact Ehb Intaki or Jolo for details) - It's almost as good as if you got it yourself actually ;)

We know that the BPOs were going to run out, but it is strange that it went from probably 30 different BPOs to only 2. Either it is a bug, CCP removed BPOs from lottery for whatever reason or that all got drawn at once.

More interesting is why did you decide to train for R&D stuff, especially at this late stage of T2 scheme? If you feel you wasted your skillpoints, then the decision was wrong, not the current exhaustion of T2 BPOs, which was known in advance.

It's been widely reported that RP will be used to take shots at inventing stuff and reverse-engineering. If anything, it will be beneficial for scientists since their RP will have a somewhat reliable use other than as lottery tickets which guarantee absolutely nothing.
BTW, I understand that having 3.2 mil sp in learning and science you'd feel disappointed that your profession has had a hiccup, but in reality, those learning points are far from wasted and the remaining points still have uses (or will have soon) just different ones. If people are building characters solely to try to win the lottery, it should be an alt since the likelihood of winning is slim.

Seems like someon pushed the pay out lottery button.
Perhaps it's a bug.
Perhaps they replace the bpo lottery with limited bpc lottery.
Or (what I doubt) it means some sort of new-research system has become ready for testserver faster than they estimated.
Well at least I can safely ignore this path for the time being and keep the the skill packs stocked for future use.

This has rather ominous implications. What if T2 BPOs suddenly lose all their value because CCP are putting a new system into place? Then I just spent a billion isk for nothing  .
