I don't feel excited about these changes to WH space like I should, it feels more like the incursion changes that happened years ago.
It reminds me of those bad free to play mmos, where once players master the meta, the company just flips it over so players have to discover a new one all over again.
Sorry CCP, I love you but this is going to be a very depressing expansion... can i content yet? |

The sad thing is it's mostly just the ****** up cata/wolf and the spawn distances. Everything else is pretty solid. can i content yet? |

I'm not too torn up about the cata, they weren't super amazing before, and now they're still pretty meh. Everyone already knew that slowcats in a cata were one of the most ******** things in existence, so this change just means it's slightly easier to evict a well entrenched Cata group. Other than that, nothing really too big.
The WR is interesting I guess, but any T3 fights in a 5/6 are just going to be a stupidly long slug fest with SO much room for error. It doesn't change a huge amount I don't think. Armour caps will be dumb in WRs, but it's not too hard to adapt.
The spawn distance thing is dumb, but still, 5/6 good changes is pretty good. Could've been way worse. I don't think it's aiming to change the meta so much as it's trying to equalize the quality/status of WHs instead of making WR/Mags the go to WHs, which, I guess could be a meta change if you want to spin it like that. If thuggin' was a category I'd win a Grammy |

For the record, this is a nerf to Wolf-Rayets in terms of the stupid-level of capitals. That resist bonus is so much better than just more HP.
I think I like it. I would like to see that capacitor stuff removed from Pulsars though. The combination of redicahuge cap regen as well as large shield buffers is a bit much IMO, especially since capacitor usage is the one weakness of shields. |
