I'm exploring options at the moment. I use dot run c4's a year or so ago with 4 tengus. But my work schedule makes it hard to cordinate, so i am wondering if anyone knows of a ship that i can have that will solo a c4. Note i will not live in the c4 so a carrier is out, i did a google search but found nothing difinative, any ideas?
if its not possible thats ok, i have a plan b, but if there is a setup that can either solo or duel box it, that would be nice. In a room full of dumb blondes, EvE is the smart red head on the other side of the room.-á Lots of men like dumb blondes, and not everyone will like the smart red head, but she doesn;t need to change to be a dumb blonde.-á She is perfect how she is.-á Thats EvE vs other mmo's.-á You either like the red head, or you don't. |

salvagers wont do you any good in the high slots on a marauder. I would go with smartbombs and heavy nosferatus for the utility high slots |

If you want glorious lossmails do this.
You can in a marauder, but I'd probably recommend remote repping tengu's (3 should be enough).
You can see the sticky thread on the top of this page that says "What do I bring to Kill Sleepers!". Yaay!!!! |

You need 2 RR Tengus for every C3 site except for Sleeper Information Sanctums, you need 3 for those unless you're in a Cata or Pulsar. Maybe only 2 if you have max boosts, but it'll be pretty spooky for a bit. If thuggin' was a category I'd win a Grammy |

Why smartbombs? sleepers damn sure don't come close enough to use them. NOS is also pointless. The only BS that come in range to nos are safeguards/defenders. The only bs that nuet in C4 sites are upholders{60k orbits} & safeguards. SiS second spawn is 1 safeguard nos & 3 defenders. Kill the safeguard first = no more nos. It does more dps by itself than the next wave. Frontier barracks second spawn is like 3 or 4 upholders. Can't nos them, out of range. If your running IT or FCC in a marauder, then your past hopeless...
Salvagers are more useful. In case of pvp, refitting of the depot like a pro is much more useful. 3 lg nuets, 2 md nuets, & 2 small nuets, stabs, cap booster, ASB will save ur ass. |

All you do to survive neut waves is drops some of those application mods for cap rechargers and flux coils.
The only c4 neuts you ever have to worry about are during all battleship waves anyways. Mobile depot is your best friend, bring everyone from webs to paints. can i content yet? |

I concur, Adriana. While the pvp reffiting part is interesting, soloing in a marauder is perfectly doable, although not very wise, given bad risk/reward. Faction smartbombs are the easiest and fastest way to kill the sleeper frigates, you just have to be careful not to bomb the BS wrecks. Refitting for nosferatus will keep you cap safe, the neuting pressure can run high sometimes, even though it's way worse when soloing C5s. Refitting for a MJD can be an awesome time saver, specially when using pulse lasers in a Paladin. These sites go down fast in the classic Nightmare, but only for experience's sake (4b ship?). Well, more expensive targets anyway, why not help them out. |

yes, if you talk to any major c5 corp, hard knocks, lazerhawks, ssc, ect... They all use marauders to run sites in c5s pretty extensivly
p.s. smartbombs dont destroy wrecks can i content yet? |

imperial navy smart bombs hit to 7500m and most sleeper frigs will orbit you around 7000. As far as i am aware it also doesnt matter what you put the NOS on. every npc has infinite cap so you can NOS them all, so leaving a cruiser or frig alive and trigger the next waves is a valid option imho |

Smart use of the first bookmark, using/refitting for MJD, and experience can get you below 10 minutes per site. In some sites you will be able to tank two waves, depending on your fit, making it worth to pop trigger frigates for example.
Ah Mr. Keith, I didn't know that wrecks were immune to SBs... Such noobiness xP |

The only 2 spawns running C4 sites that present cap problems are the 2nd spawns of SiS & FB. FB spawns are all out of nos range, the 1st spawn only has 2 bs. Leaving the upholder from the first spawn will probably kill you. For SiS, only the safeguard has nos. Kill it first always, damn thing does more dps by itself than the next wave.
Infinite nos won't save you from the 4 safeguards spawns in mag/relics. |
