Aye, no more of this, please. People will be happy enough to get on a CCP killmail. Thats a steaming load. If that was the case there was no need for the loot. The loot made it complete crap and an insult to all other players the couldnt participate or are have nothing in that area to participate with. This was a sick Joke. Those plex and Nex items = IRL in most people minds. Nothing against those that took part. But CCP is on the hook for stupidity again.
You're butthurt over not getting some digital goodies? In a video game?
That's tragic.

This has some major ethical problems with that loot. Hows that screaming like a child going "I cant hear you" with fingers in his ears working out for you? Those aren't fingers, it's tech and trillions of ISK, but keep on crying peasant. We're all listening. PLEX are an in-game item and don't have any more real world value than a Thorax or an Avatar. Plex has a real world value ans it is purchased for a set amount. A thorax does not as it cannot be bought with IRL money. Nex items have IRL values as they amount of Aur you can get for a plex is fixed. 1 Aur has an IRL cash value. No other items in the game have and IRL value, just and isk value.
Plex doesnt have any real world value. Try popping down the shops with your 'plex' and see what you can buy with it.
The answer is: nothing.

do the planet a favor and shut the **** up, because you're goddamn clueless. If they have no cash value then how come CCP sells them for real money? You didnt think this cunning post through all the way.
Actually they haven't sold you anything:
"Your Account, and all attributes of your Account, including all corporations, actions, groups, titles and characters, and all objects, currency and items acquired, developed or delivered by or to characters as a result of play through your Accounts, are the sole and exclusive property of CCP".
You just own thin air. Congratulations.

No it doesn't.
It doesn't because you cannot convert it back into dollars. So CCP aren't giving any one 'free money': they might be saving them money (that they might have otherwise spent on something other than EVE but those items only have value in EVE and no where else.
So what youre crying about is you didnt get a free ticket. Well tough cheese.

King Rothgar wrote:It seems fairly obvious to me that CCP intended to get destroyed by a PL fleet based on their actions. Call me paranoid if you like but I've been around here long enough to remember more overt ways of them giving their off duty toons isk from their CCP toons.
As for isk not being real money, that's true but it still has real money value. So do characters, accounts and the computer you play the game on. It may not be currency, but it is a good that can be traded for currency even if it's against the EULA. It is also equivalent to pissing in a lake and I don't think the whiners have a valid point. Giving out free game time for an in game event is perfectly fine and well within a company's rights. I doubt anyone would complain if a handful of plex's were given out for the alliance tournament or a design a ship contest. The only thing that would make it otherwise is if it were unfairly handed to someone, which I think it was in this case since I believe their fleet was deliberately configured and located to entice a PL hotdrop.
You could have formed a fleet to oppose PL. You could be running an alliance that could beat PL. Youre not - so I frankly cant see where your argument is.
