First. He did not do this at the end of his insurance cycle, thus losing the insurance money. Second. -7 Sec status is losing nothing? He can get killed in any system within the world of EvE now. Thi- oh crap. I just realized i was trying to use logical rebuttles to an illogical argument! Glad i cought myself in the middle of this, could have gotten nasty.

ps - kaylana, read up on goonfleet, and how many players it has brought to the game, thanks
You might have done a decent job of getting nooblets into pvp but you are not the driving force behind EVE. Nor do you know how many alts are in your alliance of bored EVE players looking for a fad... I could be one of em so spare me the bull****.

I never did understand why so many CONCORD respond to assaults. You'd have a hard time tanking a single one of their BS, it's utter overkill.
Makes one hell of a party though!

Geez, you people complain too much.
He did something that cost a few people practically nothing except himself. (If you saw the killboard you'd see that not much of value was lost.)
It was meant to be something funny and it was. He didn't break any rules. By that count, killing anyone in this game would be a violation as it lessens their enjoyment of the game. It doesn't cost CCP anything because nobody is going to quit the game over this. The lag in the game from a Concorde response is no different from the million other times people suicide themselves (usually to kill a ship carrying valuable cargo) in Empire.
So stop your whining and continue on with your pathetic little existance.
P.S. We love you Berrik.

Both of which detract from CCP bringing in new clients to the game which benefit ALL of EVE.
What you suggest is pretty lame and I would ask CCP to ban this type of griefing.
It's human psychology... not an exploit. It's called being smart and taking advantage of every eve player's weakness- immense greed.
What you are saying is pretty pointless... and GOD I hate the use of the word "griefing".
The OP should not be banned. It is in the game mechanics. They took a risk warping to him. The OP suffered the consequences by losing his raven. End. Of. Story.

I'm not commenting on what he did, except for that he clearly didn't do it for the money, he did it for a laugh, which he had. 'Nuff said.
But if they were opening your cans, and if they were in your gang, why did concord come when you shot them?

totally agree.. what a f**** assh***... what kind of lame ass way is that to destroy other players fun.. why do you think there is a high security space? dumpass...
-----------------------------------------------
and just a note... what ******* idiot of a dev got the idear that a battle ship should be able to tank the sentry gate guns with the right setup?! ? and outrange them as well with the right setup?!? i mean seriusly, concord are known to have the second best technologi in the wold (right after joves), so it is ******* lame that a sentry gun (A GAINT GUN THAT ARE TO MASSIVE IN FIREPOWER TO MOVE!!) can be out damaged, out range, and tanked by a player battleship... then what the **** is the point with them?! let them shot with bananas instead then and do 0.0000000000000001 dps instead... its just so lame... you should try to follow the story.. futher more concord should be able to come to the aid of a person that is attacked beside a gate (becouse it would be so fast for them to warp away) AND it would remove gate champers WICH EVERY ONE EVEN THEMSELFE can see is game-destroying.
but well maybe its just me playing to have a role-playing game-creating game instead of a stats-whoring cooki cutter build (GO BLASTERTHRON AND NOSFERATU DOMINIC... talk about finding the holes in the game and misusing them;) ) ______________________________________________ Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward.

Wow. Triple posting and rage. Relax pal. And seriously this is a teen rated forum so cut down on your language (more of it is in the other two posts than this one).
Anyway man, you gotta mellow out. Sure it sucks losing an expensive ship. I've lost plenty of ships in my time that were a significant chunk of my savings. That's what insurance is for, and hell I lost a few T2 ships that had crappy insurance but you know what? It's a game. And I bet most of the newbies there realize that and weren't as angry as you are. Which I find kind of funny because you weren't even a victim it seems, you're just getting up on a pedestal to preach about how Eve is the best mining simulator/single-player game there is and there shouldn't be anyone interrupting that.
And as many times as that minmatar woman said 1.0 space...Jita is 0.9 and it's not a newbie system, it's a trade hub next to a newbie system. I could have been caught in that blast if I were allowed in there , with my shiny new Malediction. Would I quit? No. Would I whine? No. Would I laugh? Hell yes. I'd be annoyed of course but Eve, as has been said before, is NEVER perfectly safe. This is not Diablo where you can't get killed in town.
I say it was a fun and epic move. ___________________________________________

I personally think that Kaylana Syi and Tjarish need to clam down a little about this.
I've only been playing EVE for 2 months and I think this is so funny. The en-mass CONCORD fleet turning up at the end was the best part.
Yes, some noobs may leave the game because they cried themselves to sleep that night, but like said above - If they do that, there not meant to play the game.
If the people where in Frigs and noobs there hardly going to have uber T2 gear which is going to cost them tonnes to replace. Insurance would cover it all and if they didn't have insurance it's there own faults.
I take EVE fairly seriously, but some people take EVE far too seriously obviously.

Are you quite serious because the quote in your sig (posting it here in case you try to edit it out to hide your own hypocrisy) says:-
"Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward.
Whoever cannot take care of imself without that law is both"
EvE is this in a pure form. You can and will do absolutly anything you are powerfull enough to do.
You can and will have anything done to you that you are too weak and stupid to prevent.
If you roll up to a battleship that has no guns and is trying to get people to cluster around it, the excuse 'but i didnt know what smart bombs are' doesn't cut it. The only person responsible for your own education is yourself..... ________________ What you do is you store up the rage, let it fester while you gain strength, then use it to gank those weaker than you... and so the circle of life is complete |
