K, I posted this in the other forum but it got no replys whatsoever. I didnt think it was that bad Lets see how the pvp community likes/dislikes it.
A new module that doesnt do anything but block the transponder in the target ship so that someone who has 'ganged' your target (from 2 solor systems away btw) can not rush in and warp in within 20km of them. Either those seeking to warp to the persons position just plain cant and must use probes/scanner to find them OR a random distance is given so that they could pop in at 20km or 120km OR it only gives the gang members the option of warping in at 100km or more.
It wouldnt affect the fighting ability of the ship you are fighting. It would cost cause you would probably need to use a mid slot to use it not to mention any powergrid and/or cap issues that its use might cause. Limit the range to 10k or less. And allow for current eccm to protect the target.
Now that would be nice. See, a great idea that will keep the blobbing down.

maybe if it stopped both partys from this warp to gang member it might good as one way will allow one side the one using it to gank so if it blocked both players from this then it will allow true 1v1 fights without ganks without a scanner in system

You suggesting a module that means gang members have a time limit between when they can warp to each other?
Fantastic.... So 2 examples;
"I'm being ganked by 10 ships in my SS!! Help!!" as a 10 man friendly fleet sits useless.
and
"Warp to me" "We cant, where are you?" "Planet VI, Belt III"
Ventrilo and TS makes this easy.
Bad idea, wont help, just hinder what we'd all do anyway.

You know what would be really cool? If they introduced a module which COMPLETELY disabled an opponents ability to lock, so they were totally unable to defend themselves at all. It be chance based, so you only need one module to keep a BS jammed 1/3 of the time too. You could even make it so that anything could fit at least one, so everyone fitted them, and it would really cool, because rather that fun PvP with shooting on each sides, we'd have a war of attrition while the guy jamming slowly wore the defenceless guy down, while he was waiting for a failed cycle. He would have no chance of saving himself, so he'd be having a whale of a time
How cool would that be?

Not cause if the targets tank can just hold out long enough his/her friends can warp in and own ya. But hey, I may be the only one that thinks that is the sux to look for small solo fights and only get blobbed. At least with a module that either keeps one or both parties from being "warped to..." by gang members, both parties still have their full fight ability. The ship with the module is actually gimping itself slightly (or majorly) because it must loose a med or low slot to equip the module. Using this module might just bring back smaller engagements rather then the blobs seen now.
But hey, I understand that some view solo play/pvp as the 'bastard son of an ugly protitute" in any game listed as 'mmo'. But hey, better replys then the silence of the lambs I got from the other forums.

LOL, like your idea Hippo. But the original idea for a module wouldn't help much, just like Izo said it would only slightly hinder the enemy. Even without TS all he has to do is type V-6 in gang chat or whatever
