hi i am thinking about getting a freighter and start trading. but i would like to know how big my chanses are to make isk by trading.
i dont know mutch about trading in eve but i know the simple basic, by los, sell high. And if you have a fat wallet at the start it is easier to make good profit.
So basicly my question is. How shall i get started, and is it good to start of with a freighter right away or shall i use my iteron V at the start and learn more befor moving to a freighter?
What i understand i can trade anything. But what would be best to start on? Go fore npc stuff like the tradegods or start with t1 ship modules and maybe smaller ships?
what do u think would be vice?

mmmm its doable seems a bit of a lame way but why not (that said every other macroer and his dog are doing it so are a lot of real players with afk alts roaming around high sec tbh the trade goods market has minimal room for profit and mostly losses)

yeah that was my thouth... is the trade buissnis good any more. what i have heard you could make alot of isk by trading a year back. but now ppl are saing that it is way harder to make a good profit by trading...
actually i think it is so many player who have alts in the trading buissnis and int the r&d buissnis that it is so hard to earn a singel thing now a day.
well maybe it is better to skip trading and r&d as a thing to do to make isk. maybe ratting in .0 space and mining is the only things left that can provide isk... or?

Since they fixed the "bug" through which NPC market prices reset at downtime, the market moves much more slowly. There's less opportunity to make money trading NPC goods now, although it's still possible. As for freighters, they tweaked the market so that a lot of the goods that used to sell in huge, freighter-sized batches no longer do so.
Ships and modules might make you more money, but it requires more thought. As the poster above me mentioned, there are a fair number of AFK freighter alts flying around these days. I don't know if this is affecting the markets hugely or not.
There's been some discussion of this in the Market Discussions Forum

Edited by: Splagada on 23/07/2006 10:30:22 you can make hundreds of millions with a freighter, even by just staying in highsec
