I have tried to abort a skill in order to install an implant. However when I click on abort skill it keeps right on training. Is this feature broken or am I doing something wrong?

Just switch to another skill instead of aborting, thus saving precious SP's.
Or do you mean switching them isn't working? Relog.

Switching skills works fine but won't resolve my problem. You can not install an implant if a skill is training.
A few months ago it was possible to abort training. It just stopped so you never lost SP. But then you were able to install the implant or if needed change training to an Alt. As it is I'm stuck with either the current training or finding a cheap basic skill and let it train up. Unfortunately I don't have any basic lvl 1 skills i need so would prefer just stopping training.

I don't think you guys understand what he is saying. If you right click on the skill it should give you an option to abort. Select that. It should go ahead and stop (although I've had it take a bit before). Insert the implant, and then restart the skill. You should be good to go. If it isn't aborting (and thus you can't install the implant) you may need to file a petition.

Edited by: Kavol Valarius on 27/07/2006 04:01:36 How odd, I installed my implants just fine with a skill training quite a while ago. Did they change this recently?
That's why I was confused as to why he would want to abort a skill.

You have to stop your training for plugging in implants for quite some time and for clonejumps. Stopping the traiing did work within the last week just fine. --*=*=*--
Even with nougat, you can have a perfect moment. |

also aborting a skill won't reset its invested skillpoints anymore like it did once. So you can safely abort a skilltraining instead of swithing to an other skill first before you choose abort to safe your skillpoints. Either way you will loose always a little bit of skillpoints, it isn't much though.

I had the same problem.
At one point in time you clicked abort, and the 'do not show this message again' in combination with cancel.
Reset that in your options menu and you should be fine.
amirite?
