1) In any system with a medbay that's somewhere near main routes, buy up a bunch of shuttles, and put them on market for 9 million isk. A lot of people will just click through without looking, which means you make money quickly.
2) Buy some cruisers, rename them to HACs, then start trying to sell them in local. This works even better if you actually have some HACs but then pretend to crash and when you re-open the trade window replace them with T1 cruisers.
3) Buy a bunch of small cans and name one after each accessible region of EVE. Start trying to sell full EVE insta sets in local.
These three work pretty consistently. The shuttle method is the laziest form.
I'm leaving out actual fake bookmark sets on escrow since escrow scamming is passe, though that doesn't mean you won't occasionally nail some idiot with the old "Carbon = Charon" or "Vigilant = Vindicator" tricks.

two years ago called, it wants its threads back.
this is why I stick to www.tribalwar.com
somethingawful.com tends to attract too many brilliant people for my liking

Just as a heads-up, the shuttle thing is WIDELY done. You'll see 9 mil shuttles in pretty much every major hub-- or at least, I've seen them in Jita and Oursalert in every station. Sig removed, inappropriate content - Cortes |

this isnt so much a scam , more of a way to annoy people, set your evemail charge that people pay to 1,000,000isk, most people skip thru charges , so if you are pirating and the victim wants to send you hatemail or anything like that, it will cost him an extra million and he probably wont even notice hes paying it.

You do know there was about 48 hrs when you actually could set your mail charges up over 10,000 isk.
That was over a year ago.

tell n00bs that didnt read the player guide and are sick of ore thieves that they can anchor giants in 0.8 - 1.0 system belts.
just make sure you know in which system they are going to "try" anchor those giants.
every giant that "anchored" after cold war patch in 0.8 isnt anchored. get your hauler, scoop those in, sell them off, rinse and repeat.
if you are lucky the same poor n00b you scammed like this will buy the same can over and over

i was just thinking about trying this but then i remembered, the cheapest market good appears first and pretty much every station that sells a ship has about 100,000 shuttles on the go , so does this method work efectively seing as the cheapest will appear first ?
