As a CEO ive had the misfortune of having a Ferox BPO stoeln from my corp hanger which was in a division which was to be accessed by people that I trusted, I mailed CCP and asked for help and all I got back was "Unfortunately I can't reveal to you who took it, but I can assure you it was taken through normal ingame mechanics."
Wouldnt it be a good idea if there was a log that could be accessed by the CEO or directors to see who was taking, using or putting items or BPO's into the corp hanger ?
Forgive the stupid question but why hasnt anyone else come up with this idea before, its fairly simple www.eve-files.com/media/corp/Ammarsigs/Commandar_Paul1.jpg[/IMG]

I agree with Commander Paul! Logs showing who took what, when. Would be a good thing for corp hangars.

I don't think BPs would be very usable in secure containers so yes, add loggin (at least as an option) to corp hangar divisions...

um you store the bpos in the secure container and password them or not you would have to remove the bpo to use it but right after use put it right back bpc's 4tw. take that bpo out make many bpc's then hide the bpo its that simple :P..
and the secure audit log container would allow you to keep track of who access's takes puts in and locks and unlocks with in the can :)

Locking down BPOs is the best way that I know of to do this and yet keep the BPO useable.
Note that secure containers don't properly log who takes things out of them. They log who *unlocks* things, but that is not the same thing as who has taken something out of the container (as you can unlock something without taking it and take something that has already been unlocked by someone else without it being logged at all). So really for secure containers to be *secure*, everything in them has to remain locked pretty much all the time, to preserve the audit trail.
However, all that said -- I sign the parent. Corporate hangars badly need logging. Accountability is key in every corporation. Not knowing who took the corporate "Hulk" or that 20,000 units of Morphite is killer. It is worth more to me to know who took it than it is to actually get the item(s) back, because while the item is missing and you don't know who took it, it casts a pall over every person who had the access to take that item.
Corporate hangar logging is oft-requested, and I wish that CCP would implement it. -- Sorai Carbide Industries Proprietor of EVEbay, EVE's free shopping centre.
