OK, we've had Best/Worse films so why not have a thread about favourite TV programs? I don't doubt this has been done before but since I've nothing to do for a few mins I'll rehash it.
Except number 1, in not particular order.
1. The Sopranos - This is the greatest TV show ever and I expect a fair few people will agree with me.
2. The Shield - What is it with the anti-hero that makes them so much more interesting than the good guys?
3. Scrubs - I love stupid humour
4. Spaced - The greatest conversation in anything ever was said in an episode of Spaced
Guard "You coming to TA Saturday?"
Mike "Oh yes. Steath and tactics weekend. I wouldn't miss it."
Mike "I've an idea for an infiltration technique. It involves draining a man of his blood and replacing it with Tizer"
Guard "Sounds great. Look forward to that. See you Saturday"
5. Arrested Development - Any comedy where one person is normal and the rest are not all there makes me smile.
6. Have I Got News For You? - Quiz show comedy at it's best.

I don't want much TV really, but I'll /sign on Have I Got News for You.
Several of the other panel things win TV as well, like QI and Mock the Week.

Scrubs: wonderful show, every episode needs to be watched at least two times
Arrested Development: just found it last week, and ive already seen every episode
Titus; wonderful show, watch it.
That 70s Show; (not including 8th season)
Everybody Hates Chris, a grossly underrated show that deserves way more attention
Family Guy, honestly; who wathces Simpsons nowadays?
Malcolm in the Middle; woot.
The Boondocks; pmfg controversy! Making fun of white people, onoz!
Mythbusters; they blow stuff up...
Firefly; had a good run.
Avatar - The Last Airbender; the world's best kiddie show evar!!
oh, and ibtl btw...

Don't watch much TV
'Have I Got News For You' always has me in stitches.
They would likely be arrested over in America :) haha
Lost is a steaming puddle of drivel as are 'most' american series.
The ones I hate I avoid like the plague and those that peak my interest are welcomed into my collection where they are give the love and attention they deserve :)
I prefer to buy boxsets of TV series and watch them that way, rather than live my life at the whim of a TV schedule.

I can agree with this, adding in Family Guy, Futurama, the Simpsons, American Dad, basically animated comedy .
However, whoever said that American shows are mostly drivel is right, I personally don't think there's much good on TV. Thank heavens for anime, EVE, and first person shooters  , or I might go crazy.
