Hi guy's, I've been out of game for some time now and am looking to make some money to fund my pvp. I've been away from the game for 12 mont. What I'd like some help with is where is the best area in null sec to rat? It used to be good to do it in fountain but seems like all the faction battle ships have taken a massive nose dive in price.
So I'm a bit lost as to where I should maybe look to live any help.would be great.
Thanks for the help in advance. |

I can't give a straight answer because I haven't done he research. But you should look for whichever npc type has dead space mods that sell for the most and then find a low activity area in null that has those rats, or join a decent alliance there. |

IMHO there is no 'best'.
You will find people ratting and making a not-too-terribad income in all nullsec regions. It's really a matter for how you want to play your eve, what resources you have, and what contacts and affiliations you can draw upon.
For example, (I'm told) where I live is very good for ratting but you're not going to make too much of a long-term profit there unless you're part of this particular blue-donut. Also if you do not have the resources to get decent suitable ratting ships out there then you are not likely to be able to make much isk at all.
Rather than trying the "What is best? I am gonna do what's best." approach why not think about "Who do I know? What areas can I get decent access to?" and then "Can I make a decent income ratting there?". Just a thought. I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. If you're just looking at having a system to rat in and get your feet back on the ground, check out our brand-spanking-new rental program. Access to good TrueSec systems with upgrades already installed for a low fee, and really the freedom to rat as little or as much as you'd want.
Edit: and to address "where is the best space to rat", that would be Deklein, as it has the highest average TrueSec out of any region in the game. That said, any system with good TrueSec is perfectly fine to rat in, provided they have iHub upgrades :) |

Another thing you need to consider is logistics.
Can you get your loot out easily to sell at Jita?
If the answer is no, then will it sell well on the regional market?
How many neutral pilots pass through your ratting area?
Fly safe, have fun. |

Also depends on what type of PVE you want to do. Anoms, DED ,Unrated. Anoms tend to be fairly similar no matter the type of NPC you are fight assumingyou can work around he Ewar being leveraged at you.
DED/Unrated can be vastly different and the same goes with the reward since they are based around Mods not bounties.
Also the type of ships you can fly will dictate theNPC you are going to be best at killing. Though some ships like the Domi/Rattlesnake can handle almost anything. |

Any system which is -0.90 or below, is upgraded to maximum via ihub upgrades and provides cation loot which is in value at the moment. Guristas and Angels seem to be the hottest things around at the moment. |

Hmmmm, reading above I see Guristas, improvements, and truesec ... and a posting concerning a new CFC renter proposal that (assuming it is not a scam) has the potential to offer all three of the above.
I live in sov-null Guristas space and the folk who do that stuff seem to be relaively content with their efforts ... notwithstanding the occasional 'random is random' reminders. There is one course of action that you can take.
What you can do is find a hisec "island". This is an area of space that is hisec space but surrounded by low and null sec space.
Here you can pop over to low/null sec space, run some ratting anoms, keeping an eye on local and dscan, and then head back to a secure system with the deadspace/faction loot you've collected.
I know of some guys in Guristas null, where my alt is, and they run at least two characters, a scanner and runner.
In the end it's up to you on where you go.
If you do go to null, find a corp to join as some places will be extremely hostile if your neutral to them.
Fly safe. |

This is an accurate description of all sov-null areas where guristas live, and the NPC-null areas are probably quite similar.
You can nullsec mission and rat without being part of the particular blue-donut, but it can be quite tough. Your isk-return rate will be higher and your ship losses lower if you join with the local crowd, whoever they may be. mind you it can be fun running sites under the noses of hostile locals ... as long as you're doing it largely for the lolz and not so locked-in to maximal isk returns.
