With Oceanus, to be published on September 30, you will see visual updates to Wormholes and wormhole space.
Not only will you be able to directly see which ship size will fit through a wormhole, we also made wormholes and wormhole space more beautiful than ever before.
Read (and especially see) the improved beauty of wormholes and wormhole space in CCP Myrkur's first dev blog A visual update of Wormhole space with Oceanus. CCP Phantom - Senior Community Representative - Volunteer Manager |

We finally get a chance to see some improved nebulas for wormholes!
Some will argue that there is less distinctions between classes of wormholes, but overall I'd say that your work here is gorgeous! Signature Tanking - Best Tanking

The graphics are beautiful and I'm sure they will be great to view in game. It is a bid disappointing that the distinctiveness of each class appears to be lessened. If anything, I would have wish for more clarity between C1/C2 while enhancing the graphical details of each class. Instead C1-C4 appear to be very similar now almost going backwards in that regard from the current state of affairs. Having not seen them in game yet I will reserve judgement but I hope they are not as similar as they appear in the 6 box rendition in the devblog

Don't worry, there are still some very distinct "points of interest" that allow for a quick identification of the ship class. They will be highlighted in the video that I'm rendering right now :) You'll see by yourself, once you know it, you can't miss it! Signature Tanking - Best Tanking

I don't like the fact that we're loosing a viable information on the class of the wormhole system the wormhole leads to. All of the wormhole system classes had very distinctive nebulae colors and now everything apart from C5 and C6 looks the same. Why CCP? |

Yeah they look quite similar in the 6 side by side screenshot on the blog. They are quite visually distinct in game though so I-¦m hoping we won-¦t have to change them cause I quite like them as they are. But we-¦ll see. |

These look super pretty. Will be so nice to log into these new system backgrounds. I really like the wormhole flare being distinct for each size.
Bit worried about how close these will look in the core of the wormhole and if they'll be straight away identifiable like they are at the moment. I'd rather not have to keep looking up WH ID's all day.

No information has been taken away and you can still see the destination system through the wormhole, we've only added the ability to visually see what size of ships fits through the wormhole. Some of the wormholes in the pictures didn't have destination systems, which might be what you're seeing, but don't worry, they'll be there in game CCP Myrkur | Senior 3D Artist-á| Team TriLambda |

The fact that the size flare does not rotate when you look at and spin around the wh is something that needs to be looked at. even speeding up the flare cycle speed would help. If i dont know something about EVE. I check https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/ISK_The_Guide

After seeing Altrue's video I have to agree with this. While the size auras are amazing looking, we've lost the color distinction in most the Classes and we even have the C1/C2 problem here as well with only a faint distinction in nebula patterns. Give us some colors CCP! |

There is almost no distinction between C1, C2, C3 or C4. Prior to Oceanus you could easily determine where will you end up just by looking at the wh. Right now C1-C4 are just different shades of grey... we can say we're lucky we didn't have 50 wormhole classes... |

Jumped on Sisi to check this out for myself!
CCP pls. C1-C4 are cream colored with slight variations.
C1 Cream C2 Cream + black spot in middle C3 Cream + red spot in middle C4 Red + cream spot in middle C5 Creamy red C6 wasn't in my chain so can't comment
Another thing to note is the nebulae is smaller taking up a smaller portion of a hemisphere. This makes it easier to distinguish where your wh leads to but it makes it take long because you have to turn the camera until the nebulae is shown. Currently you can glance at wh and know where it leads. With these changes I'll have to look much harder.
Please add more contrast between wh classes! Blue-Fire Best Fire |

Binary star systems are actually more common in our universe than single star systems.
If you really want to EVE to be correct then at least some of the 2500 K space systems should be binaries |

Could you also please check on lower videosettings because most likely noone in the artteam every tried that?
I am very happy we are finally getting improved grafics, but there are some buts: It was already easy to confuse a c1 and a c2 hole (pic for reference) and it now still is. Ofc this is only for frigholes since normal holes have different shipsizeeffects. Same for c6s and minmatarspace (textbox solves this since one is deadly unknown and the other known). Rest seems to be ok through the hole but not that easy to differenciate in system. They are really kinda small and it takes away the feel of being in a wormhole system. Right now you jump in and often think "Yeah, this is not k-space it is really blue/green/red in here".
Also, is it implemented the same way the k-space skyboxes are with being bigger/smaller depending on the location of the system or is it just 6 different looks for the 6 classes? Do some of the systemeffects interfere with the points of interest(I am looking at you huge blackholespacetoilet)? |

Would it not be possible to make the actual sun be the black hole or whatever? The double star is to do with how HW's find a destination. All K space systems are double star as well. Under EVE lore WH's between systems (Stargates are just stable WH's) requires a binary (or maybe higher, but certainly never a solo) at both ends. As for making the 'actual' sun the Black Hole, well, you aren't likely to get useful planets orbiting the black hole or pulsar or whatever, they will be on the more normal companion star. |

Everything disabled or on low EXCEPT shader which is at medium. If shader is on low wh's just look static and a blob in space
C1 C2 C3 C4 C5 C6 not in chain
No difference between high and low settings in my opinion.
