i have heard a lot of gossip about being able to reprocess corpses and potentialy gain the implants from em. So if people refuse ransom us pies still get cash from them, this certainly beats renting them to the pleasure hubs.
If its true id like some info on when this will happen? (reason i ask is because we podded a BoB guy in a shuttle going 800m/s and i want his snakes)

It would increase profits no end, but I quite like the system of podding as something purely vindictive, or requiring a ransom to make profitable.
Normal HippoKing service resumed; world no longer ending. |

The question is will the whole implant harvesting thing be applicable to already existing corpses? Will we be able to harvest them from corpses we already have? If so then *drool*.
/me stares at 500 corpses. ===============================================

I doubt you will be able to harvest old ones since they probably dont store implant information on them. If you can though... well then I will become rediculesly rich.

I think it should stay this way... increasing pirate faction implant supply via this manner would be even more imbalancing that how it is now. Can you imagine if crystal implants were in bigger circulation? Gross

to remove the implant without killing the person it is in requires destroying the implant in the process.
if that person is already dead then dissolve his brain and get the implant intact.
i would assume it will be chance based, prob around the 5% lvl (pure specualtion - but hey im allowed to guess).
Have to wait and see i guess

I'd finally find out if some guy I killed really did have 400 mil of implants. It's been bugging me ever since I forgot to ransom him ---------------------------

Sure it be a cool idea..
Atm there is no big winin podding and thats is kinda shame, ofcourse you get his bounty ..if he gots 1
Idea: If it was posible to reverse his corpes in a bio-lab and depending on skills farming named implants in return.

While I do hope implants show up on pod mails, I really don't want this to happen. I prefer it if people are actually afraid of losing their implants...

If they do do this they are gonna have to be REAL careful. I know the Burn Eden guys were keeping corpses for this eventuality and they had stockpiled a ****load of them and that was months ago. If you think of the raw isk that this would produce if it was retrospective then it has to be handled well. I would perhaps create a new item / type of frozen corpse thereby passing the originals over.

It'd make them cheaper...I see no problem with that except for the fact that I get less money from a pod ransom...
thus there is a problem...
It would be nice to receive implants if you had to pod someone who wouldn't pay you, but I'd rather you couldn't - people go on random podding sprees enough already, I'd hate to see people get yet another reason to mercilessly pod without ransom.
So I vote no. ___________________________________________

soo What ?
It would just become an alternative market source ..then the only mission related.
A skill based session for recovering the 4 race "heads", meanwhile it should be limited how many you could recover (lets say only 1 "recovering" from a corps tho' its filled with 2-3 x +3implants ) ..
Soo You got your enemys in jar for weeks

Don't worry about it, odds are low that past corpses will be lootable, I don't think the implant information is saved on them.
Might wanna start collecting now, just in case CCP has subtly applied that change already...I seriously doubt it, but hey, keeping a few corpses in a hangar is worth the gamble since it costs nothing extra. ___________________________________________
