It was originally recorded in mid-december 2005, and there have been several attempts to make a video but they've all been abandoned due to its length (approx. half an hour). As a result, I've decided to simply release the audio file to the Eve community. But, what is Do you oppose the liberation of the proletariat? It is a hilarious con of a poor bastard who was successfully convinced Jericho Fraction is a deadly serious RL communist organization using Eve as a tool for subtle propaganda. One half-drunken and rowdy night on the Jericho Fraction Ventrilo, we had a bit of a Russian revival night with everyone singing old Soviet and Russian songs (my own rendition of Katyusha, delivered in a rugged Slavic accent, proved quite a favourite). Later that same night we published a press release on the intergalactic summit as a response to Mordu's Legion, a press release to which a regular stalker troll of ours, Tomahawk Bliss, promptly excreted a reply very soon. During Ventrilo discussion of the thread, someone suggested half-seriously we should invite him to Vent and attempt to convince him we're just Soviet nostalgics using the game as a utopia in which we can live out our anarcho-communist fantasies (the details were somewhat changed about this, even on the fly). This idea was readily accepted and soon we were seriously decided on inviting Tomahawk Bliss over and having a ball with him. The invitation was sent that night (he even comments on it in the thread, a few replies down) and he showed up on JF Ventrilo a few days later. The rest, as they say, is history - which you will have the pleasure of hearing. All I will say is that our plan was successful beyond our wildest expectations... You were very convincing although the accents sometimes failed, probably from holding back the laughter I bet. I can just see someone throwing down his headset in a rush to call the F.B.I. hehe A little truth in it though despite the comic value. I was told by Marie (Jericho member) that the chat was In Character, though they edited out the part where they try to convince me of that. I believed them at first but Bastables (former member of Jericho Fraction) chatted me during the very start of the vent and spilled the beans. I informed Marie of course, but I played along as I was seriously trying to have a conversation with these people. We all know their penchant for forum flaming and I was hoping to deflect some trolling of my alliance at that time. Which actually I did get, so it ultimately was worth it. I know Atandros worked hard on this ôactingö thing, so it is a let down that Bastables spilled the beans on it to me. But it was still funny and IÆm sorry if you lose some of the joy over it. It was quite entertaining so you should be proud of that at least Atandros. my favorite bit was they had all altered their ventrilo comment bars to read various ultra-communistic sayings like one had "(reading Bolshevik manifesto) and one person had ô(reading Das capital)" which was quite over the top and had Bastables not told me what they were doing (he knew Atandros of course and that the fake accent was a lark) it still would have given it away. I still play the unedited version to people, it is quite funny and we all get a good laugh over it, of course most of them didnÆt know Bastbales sold them out and I was being fed lines to play along. But in the full version it shows them trying to convince me it is In Charatcer so I decided to at the end where just make fun of them for being creepy (which you can still hear in their version) and I leave post haste as Bastables had run out of material ^_^ Sorry, I know you are very proud of it Atandros, but you shouldn't have faked an accent to Bastables if you wanted a chance to convince me it was ôrealö. That was your biggest mistake as I am inclined to accept people no matter how they speak and would have just assumed you like to fake a russian accent while role-playing the ôAtandrosö avatar. Still they are a good solid corp, fun group of people and I am sure if you want light RP and a good crew at your back this corporation is for you.
